Clippers management is running circles around the Suns

Clippers have a team that has managed the cap very well and has a team that is legitimately a play-off caliber team. The Suns are just a circus show without a clue or vision of how to build a team. And this off-season shows they don't have a plan - they just do a series of moves and each time they react. They don't have it thought out at all. The Clippers are managing their cap brilliantly to stay under apron levels

I don’t know about that… many saying they’ve done pretty well this off season. Keeping DJones, Batum, adding Collins, Lopez, and may be Beal, and drafting a big kid C …. That’s not too bad

Marc Stein:
Phoenix is said to have keen interest in adding a veteran PG. The Clippers, though, do have the wherewithal now to make roster room for both Beal and Paul if they choose.

One of more notable free agent storylines still outstanding as the whole league begins to descend on Vegas.

Lmao. The nursing home of the NBA. They look good on paper. They’re gonna be changing each others diapers by mid season

The team that traded Shai plus a decade worth of picks? Okay.

And yet, didn't they make the play-offs last year and probably will make it this coming year as they dumped PG13 to reset the roster. And the Suns are still trying to navigate this offseason. And so far, they are a rudderless ship with their decisions.

It is hard to remember the last time you said anything positive about our team. Why do you continue to follow this team?

I liked the picks of Fleming and Malauch
I think Brooks next to Booker was a really good fit
Green - though redundant with Booker - like what I have read. Plays hard

But,if comparing what the Suns and Clippers are doing - I think the Clippers offseason is better.

As for following teams: Chargers and Padres -- damn near 50 years following both; Suns - well over 30. I am loyal. When they do good and have a vision -- like the Chargers finally have a vision now, they get credit. Criticism for all three has been earned and warranted. Right now, Ishbia has earned it.

Chris Haynes:

BREAKING: James Jones is departing Phoenix Suns to replace Joe Dumars at NBA office to become league’s new Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, sources tell me.

Thank goodness. Definitely one of the WORST GM's we've ever had.

Seems like a good job for him. But yes, ... not drafting Hali

Ehhh... Suns took some risks that didn't pay off. Clippers also took some risks. They haven't made it past the first round of the playoffs the last 3 seasons. In 2021-22 season they were the 8th seed but got knocked out in the play-in tournament. 2021 playoffs lost to the Suns in the Western Conference Finals and that is about as far as they have gone in the last 20 years or so. Sounds like a treadmill team at best.

Sure, the Clippers are managing their cap well, but for what? Kawhi can't stay healthy, Harden will be 36 years-old in a month and a half. Zubac is probably the brightest thing about their franchise and has developed nicely and has been healthy and is only 27 years old. Besides him, the Clippers are doing exactly what the Suns have been doing during the KD-era, grab a bunch of veterans and hope for the best. A bunch of mercenaries looking for their paycheck. I do like them getting John Collins though. Oh... and Lue is a phenomenal coach IMO. I think the Suns future outlook is significantly better than the Clippers.

Not that I agreed with every Jones move but he took over as GM at a really really low point and his teams won more than most/any GM this franchise has ever employed.

Kind of hard to judge him since he worked for a cheap **** then a rich dude with new owner syndrome.
