You traded for Kuzma.

I don’t think I would trade Kuzma for Jrue right now when you consider contracts.

You pay to keep the guys that made you winners. One & done title so, so richly deserved.

Jrue really fell off defensively

No thanks

I'd talk myself into Barrett because he's the kind of pick-and-roll operator that Giannis (sometimes stubbornly) requires. He really needs a more methodical, wing size dude in the two-man game for whatever reason. Would also trust him to run the bench unit offense much better than Kuzma ever could. The Raptors only ever looked like a coherent unit with him as the primary ball-handler. Quickley didn't play enough and they were an absolute disaster with Barnes trying to play point forward.

The Pacers are mad we signed one of their key players, by offering more money than they offered? People from Indiana are a trip. Indiana is the Florida of the midwest.

None of those interviews read as pissed or upset or having animosity, imo

MIL - Ellis and Barrett
SAC - Kuzma
TOR - Monk

I’d be willing to add a ‘31 or ‘32 swap in this trade scenario.

Add a veteran PG like Cory Joseph to help mentor Rollins and call it a day.

PG - KPJ, Rollins, Joseph
SG - GTJ, AJG, Harris
SF - Barrett, Ellis, Prince
PF - Giannis, Bobby, Smith
C - Turner, Sims

We definitely pulled a fast one on them and they are still processing it. I think they looked around the league at the lack teams having cap space and felt pretty secure, never thinking in a million years we'd waive and stretch Dame. Maybe it's more the Pacers fans and media that are sour over it but I'd be surprised if that wasn't going on in the organization itself also.

AJ Green has arguably been a better player than JJ Redick three years in. I’m not opposed to using him in a trade but had he been a first round I think he would be viewed drastically differently
If Green was a first round pick who averaged 7/2/2 in his best season to date at age 25, I think any fans of any NBA team would consider him a bust.

That's not true. If he was a lower 1st, and his coach was stupid to not play him more even though he was their best net rating guy on the team outside their superstar, fans of all teams wouldn't view him a bust.

Heck, Battier posted 8/4/1 his 3rd yr, after being picked 6th, and he wasn't viewed as a bust. Just a winning low-usage 3&d guy, similar to how most our fans rightly view Green.
Good catch on Battier, but his contribution made sense in that low scoring era. Battier's 8.5 ppg in his age 25 season made more sense playing on a team averaging 96.7 ppg.

Green averaging 7.4 ppg, with low assist and rebound numbers is a lot less impressive on a Bucks team averaging 115.5 ppg.

I like A.J. Green. I root for him and I appreciate his valuable contributions. But I view him with tempered enthusiasm because he is primarily a great 3-point shooter who struggles to create for himself or others and whose productivity and efficiency declines as his minutes played increases and his defensive role expands. Green had a great series against the Pacers, but that was a small 5 game sample size. I don't see him ever being more than a solid 3-point option off the bench.

Yes. What Carlisle actually says is that Horst told Myles this is our offer but we need to know now. You cannot shop it because we will have to do drastic moves in order to make it happen and the parties involved cannot know.
All is true as we found out.
If Turner wasn't already somewhat annoyed by the low-balling he wouldn't have taken it so easily.

Oh for sure, there's definitely a bit of shell shock going on there. But Pritchard and Carlisle came across as surprised and dealing with that than pissed.

That's definitely possible. I haven't seen it but I've also not been on Twitter/reddit to see the reactions. I buy the fanbase feeling sour over it

If he played w/ top-level creators who start, like Giannis, wouldn't that logically make them more effective, as shown by their team best +15 net rating together? That would indicate he's a solid 3&d option as a starter. It's a matter of doing it finally, like in game 5.

I think they're upset they lost Turner. It seems like they're pretty accepting of this as a valid thing that can happen. Sign of good leadership.

Perfectly played by Horst.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
