Yes. What Carlisle actually says is that Horst told Myles this is our offer but we need to know now. You cannot shop it because we will have to do drastic moves in order to make it happen and the parties involved cannot know.
All is true as we found out.
If Turner wasn't already somewhat annoyed by the low-balling he wouldn't have taken it so easily.

most likely, cause you can't let it get out that you were considering cutting dame

Markquis Nowell is on the SL team?

I'm in. I love that little bastard.

I think I’m in on RJ Barrett. Just turned 25. Good size. Good BBIQ.

Kind of on the Khris Middleton, “All Star by 27 if his team is good” arc

The bad blood has been there. Hali's dad even got in GA's face. They beat us out of the playoffs 2 yrs straight. Noone needs more ammo for this.

No one here can say for sure but i say absolutely.

I thought I read that he has to be gone for a full year in order for that to happen.

Barrett would be incredible tbh. I haven't ever really considered it. He hasn't proven to be able to raise a team on his own, but he honestly did just fine on the early Brunson Knicks team before he went to Toronto. That team made a decent playoff run - took Miami to 6 the year Miami went to the finals - and Barrett was their second leading scorer with a 19/4/3 playoff slash. Similar regular season stats. I'd have no concerns about him next to Giannis.

I'm not sure the appeal for Toronto though. Kuzma's roughly 13M cheaper the next two years, but dealing with the same contract length. Are they tax-pressed?

Here's Article VII (h) of the 2023 CBA, pg 265:

(h) If a Team trades a player and the assignee Team subsequently
places the player on waivers, the assignor Team shall not be permitted to
sign the player to a new Contract (or claim the player off of waivers) before
the earlier of: (i) one (1) year following the date all conditions to the trade
were satisfied; or (ii) the July 1 following the last Season of the player’s
Player Contract.

POR respectfully declines.

Portland accept Jrue’s awful contract (one of the five worst in the league) while receiving zero draft compensation. And Jrue doesn’t even want to play for them. They then traded out of picking the guy shooting up everyone’s draft board to instead take Yi Part 2.

They are a non-serious organization that is ripe for the picking.

Sign me up for trading Kuzma, AJG, Jax and 2031 1st (top 3 protected) for Jrue and Camara.

Norm was better than Wiggins last year, and Miami gave up a 2nd round pick and lesser, maybe neutral salary to get him.

Wiggins shouldn’t cost much to acquire.

Yeah, I think they were just kind of shocked. At the end of the day, the pacers are on a gap year next year and there isn't going to be any juice between these two teams with Hali recovering and Dame gone.

Getting Kings involved might be a possibility too, Kuzma to the the Kings, Monk to the Raptors.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Jake is just saying that the Bucks could be a "potential landing spot", he's not claiming anything more. Wright is posting that the Bucks have refused to include AJG in trades as if it's a fact. [b] He's not even a real person.

Woa. AJ Green isn't even a real person?

This is the way. RJ to Milwaukee, Kuz to Sactown and Monk to Toronto with other small pieces (e.g. AJax) thrown in as necessary.

Barrett would be incredible but has there been anything credible even linking us to him as a possibility?

I listened to the most recent Zach Lowe pod this morning and he made a flippant comment about the Bucks needing "anyone who can dribble a basketball" in the backcourt. Could be Bucks-colored glasses, but I think the league is sleeping on our backcourt. I looked at the combined stats of KPJ, Rollins, Trent and AJ while Dame was out during the last part of the regular season.

The Bucks went 9-4 during those 13 games (not counting the last Detroit game) with those four guys averaging the below while shooting efficiently and offering good to great perimeter defense.

Porter: 14 points, 5 boards, 5 assists
Rollins: 11 points, 3 boards, 4 assists
Trent: 14 points, 1 board, 2 assists
Green: 8 points, 2 boards, 3 assists

Assuming improvement and more minutes (fewer SG mins for Prince), those numbers are bound to go up. I'd expect somewhere close to 30 points, 11 assists and 10 boards from our PGs and 28 points, 6 assists, 5 boards and 7 3s from our SGs. Add solid perimeter defense, and that should be more than enough to give the Bucks a chance to win every night.

RJ Barrett is one of the few realistic options where I'd actually consider giving up the 31 1st
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

Kuzma for Barrett's bigger contract would be rearranging deck chairs on the titanic or an example the grass is always greener on the other side.

Including the '31 1st for a player who has even more questions if they aid winning would sink the franchise.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
