No. You two are not understanding. We already interviewed Borrego. We don't need permission for another interview. He knows we want him. We already talked to him. if he's interested in being an assistant here instead of HC, the ball is now in his court. The Pelicans have to hope he's not interested in leaving them.

I explained this three times. The denial was for another team to interview him for asst. They can deny that all they want. It makes zero difference in relation to what's being discussed now.

Overall, this guy was pretty positive on Mike Brown. Said Brown will experiment and get young guys out there when he's searching to mix things up and the vets aren't getting it done. Will play a free flowing offense that emulates GSW as much as possible.

The most interesting tidbit is that Mike Brown might have had a directive to not take Huerter out of the rotation, which is why he couldn't play Keon Ellis more. The guy says that he doesn't blame Brown for the Ellis situation and that Brown wanted to start Ellis.

Maybe with the east being so weak, and an improved bench, cause last years was trash, and a coach that the players aren't revolting against its enough to win 6 more games. Idk im skeptical.

But from just comparing the upgrades its hard to get super excited about moving from thibs to brown and Precious/cam to yabu/Clarkson(this move is better). Feels like we need more... Bron.
