Begley and Fred Katz tweeted it out

Too bad about Borrego, but also too bad for Shams, who is always 1 step behind when it comes to the Knicks.

No. You two are not understanding. We already interviewed Borrego. We don't need permission for another interview. He knows we want him. We already talked to him. if he's interested in being an assistant here instead of HC, the ball is now in his court. The Pelicans have to hope he's not interested in leaving them.

I explained this three times. The denial was for another team to interview him for asst. They can deny that all they want. It makes zero difference in relation to what's being discussed now.

I believe the only thing left would be for him to decide to leave and, what we have to pay the Pelicans to get him. This is where I am a little unsure but, Selby says it so, it's a fact,

jesus christ blunston. the interview is not the point. they can just refuse permission for him to take this job whatsoever because it's a lateral move. he has a contract with the pelicans. they would have to release him from it. they could even refuse him to take the head coaching job if they really wanted to but teams don't do that because it looks bad.

Kind of an archaic rule. This isn't a player we are talking about.

They have signed contracts. Despite what you might think from what's going on in Washington lately, the law actually counts for something in most businesses.

Yes, scumbag move, if he wanted to join us. But they're free to assert their legal rights to being a scumbag.

Haha. There's an apostrophe before the number, which means they're saying the abbreviation for 2025 and not the actual (Bridges) number 25.

Correct!

A contract is a contract for a reason. Both parties signed it, expecting the other to honor it. Pels have Borrego under contract and, like it or not, they're perfectly within their right to hold him to his signature.

Moving on to the next name...

It’s true. I thought Frankie Nickels would be a good two way player someday

So why did Leon hire MB? Has he suddenly become incompetent and wanted a coach he believed wouldn't be good for us?

Overall, this guy was pretty positive on Mike Brown. Said Brown will experiment and get young guys out there when he's searching to mix things up and the vets aren't getting it done. Will play a free flowing offense that emulates GSW as much as possible.

The most interesting tidbit is that Mike Brown might have had a directive to not take Huerter out of the rotation, which is why he couldn't play Keon Ellis more. The guy says that he doesn't blame Brown for the Ellis situation and that Brown wanted to start Ellis.

Everyone knew this was going to happen. DeMar DeRozan is really empty ass stats (and yes, I use the word "is" on purpose there...that's who DeMar DeRozan is).

Then for some dumb reason they decided to recreate the Chicago Bulls by trading for Zach Lavine.

One that was literally the part I was trying to find out in the very post quoted. It's literally in the last sentence. Asking questions around here is difficult. That's all I know.

Man fck that assistant coach from the hornets I want bron with Brown.

We basically just did a lil middle management shuffle.

Maybe with the east being so weak, and an improved bench, cause last years was trash, and a coach that the players aren't revolting against its enough to win 6 more games. Idk im skeptical.

But from just comparing the upgrades its hard to get super excited about moving from thibs to brown and Precious/cam to yabu/Clarkson(this move is better). Feels like we need more... Bron.

We don't need 40 year old primadonna flopping herb who will make everything about himself.

We don't need the distraction on a team that can't afford any.

Let's stick to what we got or get Giannis if plausible. That's it.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Brown won't have that luxury here. Besides, will be 10 deep with vets after we sign Marcus Smart or Trey Lyles, etc. I really don't see much opportunity for Daddies (especially), Kolek (unless there's an injury to our PGs), or Huk (he could see some time).

But the rest of it made him sound like Thibs light.
