PG and Drummond for Vuc, Williams, and Jalen Smith? Give them a couple 2nds if need be?

Would y'all trade the Clippers pick for Eason? Use Drummond as a salary filler. He fits the M&M + Edgecombe timeline, and Houston probably can't afford to pay him next summer.

You could do that, waive RC4, and maintain the TMLE to use later this season with one roster spot open.

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Eason/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Broome
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards/Council
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I would without much thought. Don't overthink it.

You mean Tari Eason? Isn't he still on the Rockets?

Ah, so sorry, now I get it. Reading is fundamental. :D

(I thought you were proposing to trade-- to the Clippers-- picks for Eason, plus the filler you mentioned.)

I would do that in a heartbeat, don't think the Rockets would. They just refused to include Eason in the Durant trade. But if they would, I would. I've wanted on Eason on the Sixers for quite a long while.

I'm interested in prying either Tari Eason or Jabari Smith from Houston. If Grimes continues to play well, he could be the main piece going out considering they need a good SG and he's from there.

Looking at Houston's cap sheet, they'd be about $30-35 mil above the 2nd apron next year if they re-signed Durant (assuming $59 mil cap hold) and Eason (assuming $17 mil cap hold).

I think there's a very material chance that Eason could be available.

Dominick Barlow career per-36:

12 points, 9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.5 blocks

His rebounding and shotblocking are great for a F. He cannot shoot, though.

He's also 22. Young enough to develop a shot. But that doesn't usually happen in one offseason, so we aren't likely to benefit from his potential improvement there.

If we somehow can merge Barlow, Watford and Walker in the same player, we have a pretty good PF.

I like the general theme of collecting young 6’9” PFs and betting that one will hit

hmmm, I think you're on to something. Morey likes to be on the bleeding edge when it comes to technology, right? I think its time for him to take that leap.

I don't think Barlow is gonna stick. He is a rebounder tho and he is athletic. Had a monster game against Dallas towards the end of the season back in 23 when he was with the Spurs where he scored 21 points and grabbed 19 boards. Kind of a Kenneth Lofton situation where he's putting up big numbers in what is basically a street scrimmage so there's not much to go off of. He's strictly a center and an undersized one at that. Not much to see here, but maybe I'm wrong?

Keep taking cheap young dart throws at the PF spot. Maybe we get lucky and find a contributor?

Watford is the most likely to break out imo.

Get Tristan Vukcevic from the Wizards. They may not be able to keep him due to a roster crunch.

Legit stretch big potential.
