MIL/TOR/SAC

Post#1 » by mlloyd10 » Wed Jul 9, 2025 9:03 pm

This is has discussed alot on our board and with all the rumors that the Raptors like Monk, Kings used to have interest in Kuzma and Bucks "rumored' interest in RJ

Kings get: Kuzma
Why - They were interested in him before he was traded to the bucks - get out of a year of monk

Raptors get: Monk
Why - With Barnes/Ingram, they need a bigger PF and Kuzma fits that role.

Bucks get: RJ Barrett
WHy - They need a wing, RJ fits that role.

Don't know about draft picks, but those will probably need to be sent out

Pass on this. Zero interest in kuzma. The only circumstance I accept kuzma is for derozan with value coming back to sac.

I wouldn't be completely against Kuzma to the kings but I am pretty sure Scott Perry would be. He doesn't seem like a scott.perry guy

I don’t really get why Raps would trade RJ for Monk.

RJ is bigger, younger, a better scorer and rebounder.

Monk is a better playmaker, but even then, the difference is about 1 assist per game.

Maybe this is a cost cutting move to duck the tax? It has to be more. Think Milwaukee probably pays something to both Sacramento and Toronto here.

Don't really like the Kings fit here. I like the idea of Raps and Bucks, but I would rather see IQ making his way down.

Bucks trade Kuz+ to team X
Team X trades thing to Wiz for CJ
CJ plus asset from MIL goes to TOR
Bucks get IQ?

Could Miami with Rozier be that team?

Pros:
-Duck the tax
-Big upgrade at backup PG

Cons:
-Lose RJ as an Ingram injury replacement

But when Ingram is healthy, Monk probably helps us win more games:

Poeltl-Mogbo
Barnes-CMB
Ingram-Dick
Agbaji-Walter
Quickley-Monk

and hopefully there's a stretchy big in the draft next year when we pick.
