Maybe Giannis was asking him if he had money on the over after he blocked his shot at the end of that game and he got super mad.

If the bets were based on over/unders for Beas specific stats as has been rumored and was the case for the other dude who got caught, one would assume no other players are involved.

Every year we just have to be prepared for the stars and young fringe-stars getting outrageous max contracts that will continue to get bigger. NBA teams don’t have a choice. Offer it or they walk.

Certain players mean so much to franchises so I get paying them whatever amount it is to keep them but sometimes not doing it is the smarter option.

well, it seems crazy but the contracts are merely a reflection of the salary cap going up. it's all still proportional.

the real shocker is going to be in baseball when someone gets the first 1 billion dollar contract. It's around the corner.

Guessing this is why a lot of NBA owners are getting out of the game. 72 mil a year for Booker is wild.

Let’s just be grateful that the headline doesn’t read “NBA Champion Devin Booker…..”

Chet getting 250 is crazy...if he went to any other team than OKC this dude would be a bust and hoping for 100mil if that.

Devin Booker getting the Kobe treatment is pretty wild. But hey, I think it's cool to at least see star players stay with one franchise, even if that dude is basically just modern day Mitch Richmond.

I remember OKC fans saying Chet would be off limits if they traded for Giannis. I have the completely opposite take that they should try to get whatever they can for him, and it for sure isn’t anyone close to Giannis

No, I do not have any specific details as this is an ongoing federal investigation after all. But yes, this appears to be headed in a terrible, terrible direction that will make Beasley one of the most hated players in the history of the sport.

It's obvious bad and we will obviously get more info down the road.

I don't need any confirmation that **** was tilted hard towards the sixers. I loved that team and get mad just thinking about it.

Ainge has fallen hard with Utah. Been three years since he dealt Gobert and Mitchell and this is the crap lineup they will trot out.

The NHL has an NBA like long season of 82 games and their new CBA increases it to 84 games. That's crazy. But the NHL only gets 19% of their revenue from TV rights (NBA is about 51% and the NFL about 65%) so I guess an extra home game revenue is meaningful.

He tried to squeeze everybody for "multiples FRPs" with all his vets and ended up waiving Clarkson, trading Sexton for Nurkic, and trading Collins for Slo-Mo and a second rounder. Sometimes you have to strike when the iron is Greater Than 17 Wins.

Didn't help that he used the 10th overall on the guy who looked like the most overmatched player in the league last year.
