Ah I love Devin Carter, would be a great steal.

If we could swap RJ with Trey - we'd be a significantly better team.

RJ + 2 first round picks

They just committed to Trey with the extension.

Maybe we can go after Herb Jones instead. Awesome defender and hopefully his 3pt shot comes back. Would need a 3rd team.

The OG trade already looks bad. I don’t think we need to make a move or non move with RJ just to save face on that trade. We need to move RJ because of flexibility.

This team lacks shooting and ball handling. IQ is probably too important to move at this point imo. Not until Gradey/Walters/Shead show they can handle a starting role.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Let's reunite Zion and RJ again. What would it take to get Trey Murphy, what would we need to realistically add to RJ to get this done?

RJ, Dick, Agbaji for Trey Murphy and filler.

I get people thinking Dumars is dumb but where is the incentive to trade Murphy on their part? He arguably should be the piece they're building around even more than Zion.

You would likely need to add 2 FRP's to this package.

I still don't think the OG trade looks bad, but I guess we'll find out this year

It looks bad but this year is probably the last chance to change the narrative of the trade.

I would do that deal. An IQ, Trey, BI, Scottie, Yak staring 5 would do a lot of damage. We still have a solid bench as well, we're 9/10 deep. Jakobe, Mamu, Shed, CMB and Battle is a solid bench to mix with 2 starters.

Y'all Realgmers are really something...dont be fooled by the recent "injuries": Getting 2x20pts-scorers for OG both younger remains a steal.
A player that almost averaged a triple-double against Tatum, Brown and White at 24 will not be given 'away'.
In our current state, freshly post-Masai, it would make no sense to trade him as he is the only sure thing at the moment. Scottie was Masai's guy and vice-versa. Masai was the one hyping IQ as the cornerstone with Scottie.

Trey Murphy is KD or something? with all of his injuries? coming off shoulder surgery!

It basically all comes down to what you want on your team.

A star 2 way role player at 42M or 2 volume one way scorers at $60M.

For bad teams? I imagine RJ and IQ would seem more appealing. For good and great teams, they would rather have OG.

It's a shoulder, not an achilles.

I would probably rank his value ahead of Scottie when considering he will be paid 28m in AAV over the next 4 seasons vs 45m in AAV over the next 5 seasons.

Trading RJ for the sake of trading him without giving the team a chance to play seems utterly stupid. It should be a clear upgrade or just wait since he should be more appealing as a 27M expiring contract. We are not in the championship lane so what's the rush.

I'm still neutral on the OG trade. Overpaying IQ when he was a RFA makes it look worse. The silver lining is IQ's contract is fixed so he still has a chance to exceed his contract value.

18/7/5 on 42/40/84 splits
17/6/4 on 42/38/87 splits

IQ's two seasons with the Raps.

When he plays, he one's of the better high volume, efficient 3pt shooters in the league and he provides the gravity this team needs because he can hit shots allover the court.

Once he plays consistently, people will realize the value he provides and we can finally stop talking about his contract.

IQ is a solid option. He's a league-average-ish efficiency scorer in the high teens who can stick above-break 3s and is a decent passer who can also play off-ball. That's quite useful to us, and was a good get if he can stay healthy.

RJ... needs to fix a bunch of things before his volume becomes THAT relevant, but he does provide rim pressure, can stick it from the right corner, improved as a playmaker and sucks less as a defender. Does that mean we shouldn't be looking to see if we can leverage him for something better? No, but I agree, he's not someone to toss away. And if we can get him back into the 70s at the line, maybe we'll have something better to work with.
