I hope he stays in MIL.
It would be a shame if he left.
Bad for the league imo

The "probably" to me means he's giving hints to the team management that it is not an automatic that he stays and that they need to invest in the team.

A lot of people have tried to convince me, try to convince me to go and play there [New York] and stuff

Probably. Probably. We’ll see. We’ll see. Probably. I love Milwaukee

How long do the Bucks have? Let's understand they are doing everything and have done everything in their power to always re-tool around Giannis. He's 31 come December... this could end up like Dame 2.0, where team waits too long before pulling trig, and end up getting much less than initially offered.

there's really no need to quote mark PROBABLY

he always wanted a reason to stay. the reason for mil didn't have to be 100% tangible
the EFFORT to improve is all that mattered to giannis. turner may or may not help,,,,giannis didn't like what mil did with lillard,,,,but giannis understood why they did it and it was all about trying their best

end of saga

I don't really understand how they can do anything to invest further in this team? They have now mortgaged their future three times to keep Giannis afloat. Truth of the matter is, and man oh man do I hope Mr. Antetokounmpo is reading this; Milwaukee has been ousted in the playoffs in the first round for three consecutive times now. If they make the playoffs this year, it will be a moral victory in Milwaukee, but this team, even in a depleted East, is so far away from contention it's frightening.

I respect everything the Bucks organization has done to keep Giannis happy and surrounded by a competitive bunch, but I think trading for Lillard was where things really started to go downhill.

His body language from the clip made it seem like he is unsure. Gianass is an intelligent person so him using the word ‘probably’ in a question like that asked by a popular media influencer would gain a lot of attention. Probably a tactic towards the bucks management to keep focusing on improving the team.

Giannis wants to stay in MIL. cool, i also want him to stay in MIL. and MIL wants Giannis to stay there. sounds great.

Giannis also wants to win another chip. Giannis is also at the tail end of the typical prime for athleticism-predicated bigs. MIL will only have 85% of the salary cap for the next 5 years. Building a contender is hard. Building a contender after taking a mortgage on the mortgage of the loan you originally took to build a contender 4 years ago is prolly not possible. then again, they are in the east. Giannis may be able to 1v5 and get them to the finals like Lebron did in CLE v1.0. maybe that's enough.

idk. he's a great player and i really like him as a person. i just wish he would full commit to MIL, if he really wants to stay. understanding that its unlikely he'll get another chip. that's hard to do even in the best of circumstances, and MIL is not in the best of circumstances.

Haha I know it’s very limited what they can do. They still have some first round picks they can offer not sure how much that could help them. He sounded very cryptic in the video. Gianasss is usually very direct towards questions just felt like an answer LeBron would say to make management do more because turner alone ain’t cutting it.

yawn....... If he leaves, he leaves but there is nothing new here. I think he learned from Dame and others it is a business and you dont always stay in the same spot. He wants to be a one-team guy but that isn't always realistic. Everything has changed since he got here: all new teammates, coaches, management and owners. Hell the bucks even switched practice centers and stadiums where they pretty much replaced the whole staff and hired new people. I dont think there is a single person with the Bucks since he said loyalty is in my DNA or whatever. He spent over a decade in MKE and dont blame him if he ring chases somewhere else, but him BSing with a streamer isn't some smoking gun either way

Everyone mentioning Joker & Giannis, but Wemby and Giannis would be even more insane to me. If he's demanding trade nobody has more pieces than Spurs to entice Bucks.

If it comes down to picks the Knicks can call up the Nets and try to work something out

They could trade 2032 Knicks pick for 27 and 29 to the Nets potentially and turning 31 into a swap to abide the stepian rule. So Nets would then own '28 swap, '31 swap and '32 unprotected most of this knciks core will be long gone by then.

This would give the knicks a chance to trade Picks (26&30 unprotected, swap 27, 28 (2nd best of nyk, bucks, nets), swap 30, swap 31(2nd best of nyk, bucks, nets).

Front offices can always get creative to do these surprising trades and signings. Look at turner and the bucks for example no one saw that coming

Literally same answer he gave 10 years ago, Giannis always makes comments like this. He isn’t going anywhere, notice he said the Knicks too not one of the asset collecting teams. Giannis isn’t going anywhere, Milwaukee is his city and the Bucks are his franchise.

As a Bucks fan I've come to ignore Giannis interviews. Everytime he talks it's just a disjointed stream of consciousness. He's never lying or being disingenuous but what he says is entirely dependent on when you catch him. I still stand by what I've always said, even if he wants to leave the Bucks he wants them to do it for him because he doesnt have it in him to initiate it and he doesnt want to be the bad guy to Milwaukee.

Giannis bent his knee backwards for the Bucks and won them a Championship shortly after bending his knee backwards

lol Bucks' team is.. well, it is what it is. Not a contender.

If Anteto stays is because of loyalty or, you know, family/friends/personal life as a whole.

When, years from now, some kid knows abut him on the internet -or whatever we have by then- he could think "Uhm, 2 MVPs, a FMVP, a DPOY but only a ring... and never made it even to the conference finals again? Dude should not have been very good".

It's a shame. Same as Jokic. But I respect his decision a lot.
