Love Rob competing on defense

I've missed a little of the action by posting here. Did he take a fall or what?

Missi hard fouled him. He took a forearm to the face and was holding his wrist as well.

Two big observations early.

1. Joan is great at paint protecting, but has a weakness at reading opposing offense (very coachable.)

2. Joan is a big body but I am concerned with his rebounding technique (also very coachable.)

Beyond that Joan hit a push shot from the edge of the paint, had a nice drive, a nice lob dunk, and 3 blocks early.

A rather spectacular start to his NBA career.

BTW, Leonard Miller sucks and has terrible body language.

Yeah, at this point I'd be shocked if he's on the team in 2026-27

Rob Dillingham's ball-handling and passing are great (albeit he should pick up his dribble less), but I am very concerned about how his shot looks. Just seems kind of funky, I don't really like what the team has done with it.

Rob is always gonna battle his size but he's looking in control and ready to run the second unit.

SL League quarters are 10 Minutes IIRC. Is that right?

I have zero faith in Leonard Miller, so the bar isn't high.

Dilly is having a lot of trouble with the defensive pressure.

He started the game 2/3 but now he's 2/6. Not a good sign. I wish we had just left his shot alone. Whatever he was doing in college worked extremely well.

I liked that lookahead pass from Rob despite the turnover

A little low for the big man but the right idea

I am optimistic about Jean Beringer's decision making defensively. The swats are cool and all, but he seems to be rotating well, for the most part.

Pelicans took over with Joan on the bench. As soon as he comes back we start the comeback.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
