Naz Reid is 6'9, 235 pounds and has the game of a wing.

And how often has he been used as a SF? You're talking about situational lineups when im talking about the average lineups.

Wolves got McDaniels taking the bulk of minutes there and they got some more seasoned young up and coming players who will probably crack the rotation to get some of those minutes.

You're both right. Naz will play many of the backup center minutes AND he's definitely not a reliable back up center on the defensive end. Rudy's 33. They scaled back his minutes and games last year to keep him for fresh for the playoffs. While JB probably won't have a regular rotation spot hell get minutes when Rudy takes a night off, has a nagging injury, gets into foul trouble, can't switch, etc. He won't be absolutely buried on the Wolves bench because the only other guy on the roster that can even pretend to protect the rim is Jaden McDaniels. There'll be minutes to play if he can play them.

Its a great situation to be in where depending on Beringer's development that the Wolves could look to trade Gobert NEXT offseason if they need to reallocate their money on a PG. Jealous that you guys have this kid.

In the few BYU games I watched, I remember their coach taking Demnin out in crunch time because he kept turning the ball over. Iffy handle, can't shoot, no bag at all. Just tall.

Even we're a bit shocked. We had no idea what to expect but no one expected that. It's only one summer league game after all, but the kid looked good. We'll see how it goes.

Naz plays center out of necessity - not because he's any good at it. If Beringer shows he's ready, he's going to play. It would also be helpful to reduce Rudy's minutes to closer to 30 - and he's likely to miss 10 games or so.

Its a good problem to have. Especially with Naz and Randle being tradable contracts in the current climate of insanity and guys making 50M that really shouldn't be.

Ya having the physical tools right now doesnt mean that you'll develop properly going forward. Regardless, its a great start to what could be a nice career if things work out.

Indiana was down 10 (111-101) with 2:38 to go in the game but somehow still found a way to come back and win by 1 (115-116) against the Cavs.

It may be Summer League but Pacers gonna Pacer.

Maybe Remember the Alamo.

I hope.

NBA teams really value continuity with their Summer League squads. They want their SL squads to play like the main team. For better or worse :P

New Orleans’ summer league team looks just as disjointed as expected. Starters had 5 assists and 17 turnovers.

Pels have plenty of interesting pieces, young guys and young vets. But you get the feeling they’re a sock drawer with no matching pairs.
