CHARGE channel is one of them. Same channels that did the regular season broadcasts. If you don't have cable, you can watch the games on the antenna.

No one has really stood out to me. WCJ has been shockingly passive and pretty meh all around. Ace is Ace - takes tons of unnecessarily tough shots still and is a black hole. VJ had one standout game and was held out - albeit he shot like 30 times in that one.

2nd year guys look much better - Flip and Ajai particularly.

We should have offered Cam Spencer a deal. He is that bench shooter we need. Think he takes Kennard's rotation minutes in MEM this year.

Uh, VJ looked very good, very active, offense & defense. He was 13/27 with 10 boards, 4 asst, 1 stl, 1 blk and 1 to. The only mar on his performance was 1-7 from 3pt. Don't see how someone watched that game and comes away underwhelmed with his peformance? This is SLC not LV summer league, so standard has been toi hold out guys, just want to get them a run before LV. I don't understand why POR does not do this (SLC or California)

I also think Nikola Topic has been impressive, really good hands, he has been disruptive on defense and able to get into the paint better than I thought, also his passing IQ is very good, will look better when he plays with a better quality of teamate, had some really impressive passes. 3pt shooting has been a struggle, was a known concern and had some TO issue in game one trying to press the issue a little too much (mainly dirving into the paint if I recall) but he looks good IMO

I also liked how active Brooks Barnhizer has been, all over the floor.

But yeah, 2nd year guys like Mitchell, Wells, Sensabaugh have really shown out so far. A lot of driving and picking up fouls\FT (Mitchell\Wells specifically, vet NBA type stuff)

Ware has looked ok, not much to prove but semi lackluster play IMO

Knecht has looked like a shell of himself since the aborted LAL\CHA trade, he just seems like he does not want to be there, maybe a change of scenery woudl do him good, won't solve his defensive issues but it seems pretty clear he is not really wanted in LAL

Jakucionis has looked way too passive, struggled. I think he will eventually come around, but yeah, not a good start

Bryant & Bailey have both looked up\down their first few games to be expected for rookies IMO

Yeah, agreed on Spencer. Having a 3pt shooter of that caliber on the floor changes everything.

Could’ve had him, but instead, they decided to sell their 2nd round pick for cash….twice

802 and 1170 are the HD channels for the broadcast.

Do they look better or worse in HD?

My guide is showing that the Friday game is not being shown until later because there is a minor league baseball game on KUNP. Is that what you guys are seeing?

It is what I'm seeing too. At least we got ESPN2 broadcasting it at its live scheduling.

Most of the other teams in summer league have their 1st/2nd/even some 3rd year players playing, some of those were 1st/2nd team all rookie players, yet Portland can’t be bothered? No Clingan? No Scoot, again?

Makes no sense, as per usual

I would have liked to have Scoot at least get some practice time with the summer league team but could
understand why DC isn't playing with Yang on the team.

Real chance the 14th man is going to be playing in the summer league on another team. A team like the OKC
Thunder after paying SGA, Chet, Williams should be looking to cut salaries when they can, especially since
they have more future draft choices to make room for.

OKC has potentially (3) 1st round picks next year :o

My 3rd most impressive player in SL tonight…..Raynaud

I mean, there are more than enough minutes to go around in SL for both Yang & Clingan, and Clingan needs work\reps, so I just don’t agree with that. I just think it’s due to a lazy front office.

Almost every other team is playing their 2nd year players, and some are playing their 3rd year players, yet POR has done neither for two years in a row, there is just no rational excuse for it

Summer league is for end of the bench type players and rookies. Almost no one plays who has a consistent spot in the rotation, let alone are expected to be starter level players like we are hoping for Scoot and Clingan. It might suck for the fans but it's intent is to showcase other players at this time of the year. Let others have the spotlight this next week, their job is to focus on the regular season.

If they are still summer league players that is not a good thing and shows the franchise is uncertain about them and needs more info to evaluate if they should even be with the team next year. I think both are well past that stage so it would be taking away opportunity from others who do still need to prove they could be useful players.

That is just 100% false, look at the roster\box scores

LY Miller played, yet Scoot did not

Wells, Buzelis, Missi & Ware have all played

As are Sarr, George, Carrington right now, but Clingan apparently doesn’t need too?

I'm going with 7/4/1ast for Yang tonight...seems about right where I would expect.

In the future, when the world worships Yang for his basketball prowess, these will be referred to as “the before times.”

I’m not sure I follow your logic… are you saying they are simply too lazy to send a guy to SL?

I’m disappointed that Clingan isn’t out there too, but that’s just now how front offices operate. For every player on their roster eligible for SL, they made an active decision whether to send or not. I get disagreeing with the decision, but it’s not like they were sitting around and just didn’t get to doing it lol. Perhaps they want to minimize injury risk, perhaps Clingan has some personal in his life going on and they are honoring a request, perhaps they just want to give Yang more of the focus for their own reasons, right or wrong. I couldn’t tell you what the rationale is, and I’m with you that Clingan should be out there, but calling them lazy is lazy criticism in its own right.

Edit: and in fairness to you I do get that it’s frustrating, and it would be nice if the Blazers gave us an explanation for not sending Clingan. I think that’s a very valid criticism
