I’m not advocating for RJ, but shooting 35% on a bad team in what I believe was a high usage role, lends me to think he would be more efficient here, like most players (Beasley, Trent, Prince, Snell?, Wes, Javon Carter, George Hill, maybe others all though I’m sure those are reasonably debatable) have been playing with Giannis. There is legit a Giannis effect (affect?) that gives us an opportunity to get more out of guys. But overall I get and mostly agree with you, just that I expect a jump in efficiency with guys that get here.

But why not add a good shooter and watch him bump to greatness around Giannis

I’m not advocating for RJ, I honestly just want to get a young piece to grow with this team. I actually don’t really know who would be best, I just see the gap at SF and want to ‘buy low’ on filling that spot IF we are sending out whatever assets we have left. Would you see IQ playing point and shifting KPJ to SG or keeping him on the second unit?

I’d use IQ and KPjr the same as Indy uses Nembhard and Hali

Didn't realize IQ was 26 already. He seems younger. Is he still a good defender? I don't hate the idea of KPJ insurance if he meltdowns.

I remember IQ asking Jrue for his phone number when we played the knicks so he could pick his brain on defense. IQ has a huge contract and the Raps want to clear the deck and go young with their new GM. Idk how we get the deal done but we would be set at guard for the first time in forever.

With Bagley going to the Wiz it's likely at least one of CJ, Smart or Middleton get released.

Is it actually legal for us to resign Kris before 1 year of the deal?

I would say Smart would be the lowest on the list to sign out of those 3. At least CJ would be a solidish regular season PG for the vet min. Wonder what kind of recommendation Dame would give CJ for the Bucks.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Andre is a better defender and passer than Barrett and infinitely cheaper

Yes please but is that enough in their mind?

Probably not.

I posted it a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I could see Dumars talking himself into it. He may have Barrett/TM3 graded out similarly with the bonus of RJ being college teammates/friends with Zion, and add in a 1st + a swap on top of it... who knows.

There was a good gif possibility from Evil Dead 2 with the crone in the cellar, but I think yours was the best possible choice. Bravo

The way I understand it is we went under the cap to sign Turner any TPE's we had doing so.

Have to renounce the trade exceptions when going under the cap

Cormac is a Grayson Allen / Seth McFarlan hybrid. And that has nothing to do with basketball

Via East Side Paul (come post you lurker!):

Doc Rivers on Myles Turner

“You couldn’t have a more perfect fit. He can switch on defense. He can roam. Play multiple positions. He can shoot, stretch the defense. We got younger. He’s younger than Giannis”

Focus on this year

“Pace. We have to pick up the pace”

Then goes on talk about putting the ball in Giannis hands as the point guard and featuring him in that role this season

Kevin Porter Jr

“Of all the guys on our team, he’s going to have the biggest jump this year.”

Said he became more of a point guard later in the season, playmaking, going downhill, instead of just “dancing”
