Generally agree, but I thought Eric Gordon at Indiana was the coolest and he rocked an under-tee.

John Henson killed any good will t-shirt under jersey people had built up.

Gotta hide that Chipotle bod.

He's one of the best defensive players in the league and he's a very smart, versatile offensive player with plenty of room to grow. He's a no brainer rookie max guy any team would love to have.

The idea that he would be on bust on a different team is laughable. He'd very likely be flourishing offensively on a different team because he would have been given more freedom to expand that aspect of his game.

We all saw him get pushed around and blocked 3 times in a row by Myles Turner in the finals. He's a good player, but 250 mil max seems like an overpay though.

Chet has missed a lot of games. Lot of risk in that contact.

Yes, i think most of the pathways that end in the Thunder having way less success than they should involve Chet not being able to stay healthy

Is Chet that much better than Turner?

Don't understand the discourse behind the Chet extension. Obviously you guys know that it's mostly if not all potential based. He's already a damn good player but of course he's not worth $50-60 million "right now".

Oh, so now The Ringer won't write about Cooper Flagg? Is guy without eye-popping athletic attributes and bereft of one overwhelming skill that can't be countered not a sizzling tagline? Or are adult readers distracted by the latest Super Man theatrical vehicle? <whtnotboth.igf>

I’m not sure I buy Chet improving a ton more, I don’t think he can really improve his frame or athleticism. I think he is mostly what he will be, he’s a 3rd option at best and will always be bullied by bigger stronger players + be at risk of injury.

The injury risk concerns are real, as he's a spindly guy who's already a torn acl in.

The rest of the critiques of Chet are invalid. He's a highly valuable player cuz he can pull opposing rim protectors out the paint, can attack closeouts, put a lid on the rim, hold up on switches, & rebound. He's never going to be even average strength, but made a big leap in holding his own physically last season. Will improve there still. There's a lack of nuance in his evaluation & there were a lot of reactionary takes about a guy in his 2nd season who aided a championship. And mind you this makes our new acquisition look bad in ways.

OKC is actually in a great spot as the extensions don’t kick in immediately. So they get two more years of their championship team as-is. They’ll probably be a second apron team in 26-27, but they can duck out of that in the following offseason when iHart and Dort come off the books.

As long as their owner is willing to go into the second apron for one year, they can probably keep things rolling for quite a while a while. Might need to start moving off expensive role players in a couple years but they do have a bunch of picks to try and hit on inexpensive ones.

Yup they can just run it back for a couple of years. Of course an early playoff exit could tempt them to make some changes as is often the case when you win one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Wizards summer league starts tonight. I’m not saying I’m rooting against AJ, but if he goes off I’m gonna lose my mind.

between them giving away next year's pick and now this, kinda seems like the Pelicans are not going to be selling Herb or Trey any time soon.

That's a lot of money to pay a guy to back up Murphy. I thought they we keeping Murphy after the draft pick trade, but now I think he might be available again.

I agree, center market is just bizarre this offseason
