He's basically this years Adama Sanogo.

He'll play well in the G-League, but I doubt he'll do much in the NBA.

I'd prefer guys like Olbrich every day over guys like PWill, whom you have to carry to the court to do anything.
Let's send PWill to G-league instead.

His ceiling looks to be a backup big on a good team. His floor is farm system guy who can’t really crack an NBA-level roster. I think based on his size and hustle from the limited footage I’ve seen of him I think he has a shot to make the roster next season if he shows at least a little bit of spunk during his likely limited playing time with the Bulls on his 2-way contract. He’s been making the rounds with Essengue for social media presence so they must think he has a legitimate chance to be here long-term.

I totally agree with that. I would have taken Zikarsky instead of trading down for monetary peanuts. Zikarsky might take 2-3 years to acclimate and have his body mature but as a prospect for what we need long term he was a much better option.

Sometimes those guys with a lunch bucket mentality and a high BBIQ can play a role if they help the other 4 guys on the team perform better by doing the dirty work. I didn't follow Alex Caruso in college but I don't think many so-called experts would have predicted the arc of his career. When he's healthy he impacts winning, Lucky could play a similar role. We'll just have to see. If he's not a stiff I can see him becoming a fan favorite.

I'd prefer guys like Pat over Olbrich, because at least in theory, they have potential while Olbrich's is minimal at best. But I get what you mean in terms of motor/hustle/desire/work ethic.

Lachy is a good rebounder, screener, and runs the floor well

his swing skills will be his ability to space the floor and defend NBA centers adequatley

if he can't space the floor I fear his size and athleticism will hold him back

Vucevic - who's a lower athleticism player makes up for it be being 6'11.75", 260 pounds with a wingspan of 7'4.5" (according to Tankathon)

Olbrich is 6'10", 230 with a 6'11.25" wingspan

Someone like Kelly Olynyk is 7'0" with a 6'9.75" wingspan

Steven Adams was 7'0" with a 7'4.5" wingspan

It will be an uphill battle for Lachy.

Doesn't mean it's imposible, but it's hard to find many people with comparable size/athleticism at the NBA level who carved out roles/career

I'll root for him, but I'm not a fan of the his architype at C. I don't want any C who isn't a rim protector first. Then I want a guy who can also get out and defend on the perimeter. After that it's 3 point shooting. THEN I get to his skillset. I think that AK is stuck in the "find the next Joker" mindset.

Not finalizing my thoughts based on a 3 second clip, but Matas drove on him iso and scored rather effortlessly… and looked bigger?

He does fit the profile for a Windy City Bull. Maybe we can finally win the G-League, with Yuki, Lachlan and Patrick Williams.

I'll say he seems to have solid court vision and passing instincts for a big, and a decent enough handle too. Jumpshot looks workable-ish but his FT is pretty ugly.

Unfortunately he seems to be really bad at all the stuff that's important for a big man. He hustles and tries to make up for his lack of size/length/athleticism with positioning and timing, but most of the time it's just not enough.

I believe he had 9 rebounds in game 3, but he could have easily had about 15 or more but he was getting out rebounded and out-muscled on the boards by bigs and guards alike

Remember, Simonovic and Sanogo looked All-World in SL and GL and they washed out of the league quickly.

Adama never got a jump shot. He needs it to make it.

They could not shot. He needs to become an actual threat.

I feel like the FO doesn't work too hard to find 2-way guys. AK gifts at least one of them to his 2nd round pick and seems to pick 2 other guys at random each year. The BD3 coaching job seems like purely a goodwill building exercise...dude is poop at coaching.
