Shams: Herb Jones extends 68/3

I think it's too low, but he values financial security, it's not too far off and he has been injured a lot in his career.

I think this is a reasonable number. Great defender, but very unspectacular (but still useful) on offense.

I think number is about fair.

A role player like Herb can't afford to gamble. A major injury and he never sees close to this money again.

Pels probably can get some value for Herb if he's healthy this season.

Yeah I agree. Herb is a legit impact defender but between his offensive limitations and his injury history, somewhere in the $20-25m per year range feels fair

The first smart move Dumars has made since he was hired there?

Good deal for both sides. As a Blazer fan I imagine this sets the market for what we can expect Toumani Camara to extend for

Agreed, it seems low from what he could get on the open market.

BUT as you pointed out...

We also never know what the player is telling his agent. If Herb is looking at "protecting his return" and locking up the best and longest amount he can right now with ironclad security, then this is the kind of deal his agent should get him.

Good deal for both sides but Herb Jones needs to show a league average 3 ball going forward.

Think it's fair pay for. Seems hard to get paid in this CBA environment by another team that you are not currently on.

Im sad he is stuck on this team with awful teammates and even worse management. He would thrive on a contender.

Pels are keeping on that all-in track.

Good deal for him and really good deal for the team. Legit 2-way starter at bench option price.
