I love Queen's offensive game and IQ but he can't move well at all defensively out there. He's going to be a negative defensively. He's not big and long enough to just be a disturbance at the 5 and doesn't move well enough to play the 4. We'll see how it looks in the regular season.

I just love Queens offensive game. Surround this guy with shooters and he's gunna so some damage in a few years.

couple good debuts....Love what Joan showed as a defensive big, Queen looks like a vet already out there, Fears looks exciting (Most pts came from the FT line)
Watching Beringer become the next Giannis is gonna drive me crazy for the next 12-14 years
I have no issues with CMB outside of fit/redundancy
But my dream draft was kon or fears dropping, if not grabbing bryant.
Then making a trade for Beringer or Sorber.
I think both bigs will worst case be great backup options and would have filled a need.

Either bust or superstar will be used
Either waste lottery pick or steal of the draft will be used
All the career of CMB and the ceiling of Ja’Kobe will be 100% determined on that summer league against the baby bulls.
After SL it will be impossible for CMB or Ja’Kobe to improve any further : Not enough time in their career after SL to work and improve.
SL is the LAST CALL. The last opportunity.
I am obviously 1000% sarcastic but reading social medias during summer leagues we often would think that fans truly believe that.
Obviously I am rooting for all our prospects especially CMB to be good at SL . It’s always more fun to witnesses and discuss a good performance rather than the opposite
But Summer League is only the start of a journey. Not a destination.
Let’s be patient , enjoys and don’t over react.
Can’t wait for tonight.
Let’s GO !!

This is YouTube Highlights era of overreaction. Based on only highlights...anyone can look like a superstar.
This is also why so many people around here are addicted to watching pre draft college highlights and based on that are constantly pining for us to tank and get as many picks as possible. Yes of course Kasperas Jakucionis highlight videos make him look like a lottery picks. Reality in pros...a very different story.

IM READY TO OVERREACT.
When you put things in perspective, summer league means less than the preseason and the preseason is completely meaningless.

He was also a pylon defensively and turned the ball over a ton (which didn't make the highlights), didn't look that good to me so I was also surprised to see the reaction.
Just checked, 7 TOs and tied with Fears! At least he got 1 more assist than Fears (3 vs. 2)

I mean, Queen displayed the same strengths/weakness as he did in college.

Re: Summer League Thread
Queen has real similar moves to Siakam. Like a slower and probably worse version of him I’m guessing. That’s still a good player but will still have to play defense to reach that level otherwise his minutes are limited.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

He just can't move his feet well enough, he's a 5 in a body of a 4. If he was 6"11 270 he could be a Jokic type but at 6'9.5 245, okay length and non athletic it's tough to start him at the 5. One thing is for sure he'll be fun to watch offensively.

Martin better turn out close to Norman Powell.

I like Alijah, but Maxime was right there for us!! Martin must have blown them away at the tryout (like Norm did apparently), cause this could come back to haunt us.

He looks like a very slim Oliver Miller.

Martin is nasty and clutch but he's likely a bench SG/PG.
