I'm no shooting coach, but apart from the high arch, Gonzo's shooting form looks perfectly fine, no?

I want to see Scheierman take control of this summer league. If he can then that's great news heading into the season

Most excited to see the new 2nd round guys for me, Amari and Shulga. Idk why I just feel like those guys could outperform

I'd sneak Hayden Gray in there too.

This guy does videos on all the top draft prospects and breaks down their shots.

;t=1671s

He says Hugo's shot does look good, for the most part. Just maybe some stuff to clean up with his base. Seems like overall his touch can be hit or miss (near rim and also from 3) - which, that's something that can be improved time, with reps and getting more consistent mins, so you're in more of a rhythm. But not all guys whose touch is hit or miss improve it enough.

His FT% over the years hasn't been bad though so overall I'm not too worried about the touch.

The high arc may also be something to tweak.

Overall though, seems like workable stuff, especially since he's so young..

There's so much time, between now and Training Camp, that we legitimately could have an additional mini-camp.
Something like a 2nd (Late) Summer League, in Late August-Early September.

I've always been advocate for more training, both for Fringe players and more skilled players.

I don’t mind the flyer on Norris, but is it possible his signing had to do with the roster they had last season and not exactly a possible rebuild that may be happening?

I'm not sure why they went with a 2yr Two-Way Contract.
I would think that most players would want a chance to spread their wings, after the first year?

On the other hand (Shameless Plug):
I've always been an advocate for 5 x Two-Ways per Team.
And of adding a 3rd Round to the NBA Draft, to accommodate said Two-Ways.

Probably because it was so late in the year. We signed him with like 2 games left in the season.

We've done a similar thing for other recent signings that were late in the year:

Juwon Morgan, JD Davison, Justin Champagnie, Jabari Parker, etc.

It's probably to give the player more incentive to actually sign the contract. And to help the player out a bit, throw him a bone. So he doesn't sign with you and then literally like 3 games later he's a free agent again. It gives the player a little more peace of mind and job security and more of a feeling like he is actually a part of your organization. Even if in all of these other cases mentioned, the 2nd year is non-guaranteed..which is the case for Norris, since all 2-way contracts are non-guaranteed.

Norris has a contract, but he can get waived at any time, without any penalty to the Celtics.

Bobby Krivitsky‬

There was a late addition to the Celtics’ Summer League roster: Charles Bassey.

‪This is effectively the return from San Antonio for Luke Kornet.

Bobby Krivitsky‬

Bassey is an interesting pickup for the Summer Celtics. He was a second-round pick of the 76ers in 2021. He spent the last three years with the Spurs.

Bassey played in 36 games last season. He averaged 4.4 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Bassey's per 36 minute rebounding and blocks numbers are very good. Both stats are far better than anyone on last year's Celtics.

I saw them talking about him yesterday, but I didn't know that he was added to the Team.

Just the starters we wanted: the 3 drafted rooks, Rico and Walsh.
