For sure if you let a draft pick walk and lose the asset that is a failure and usually it's a case of the player being a bust.

Kings send Derozan to Memphis. Creates space for them to sign JK at same $ as Derozan. Kings also sends Ellis and Carter to GSW.
Memphis send Cole Anthony to Kings and Konchar to GSW.
Also do a 3 way pick swap between the three teams with Memphis getting the best of the three followed by GS and Kings least favourable.

I’ll let money experts sort out if that works financially…… but while I’d love it from the Warriors’ perspective, it’s unbelievably atrocious from the Kings’ side, there’s no way they’d do it. They lose all of Ellis, Carter, and DeRozan, get the worst draft pick, and pick up Kuminga and Anthony…… who isn’t considered a positive asset. They would laugh you off their board with this proposal.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

"Losing" DeRozan is a feature not a bug imo. Consider it dumping DeRozan you have to add assets to do that.

The kings are looking to dump LAVINE, derozan, sabonis, monk if you read their forums.

I doubt Memphis wants anyone on that kings roster.

It does work on Sportrac. I think Derozan would work well for Memphis only thing he wouldn't want to go there.ChuckDurn wrote:Mambomuziki wrote:S&t JK to The Kings for $24.75m.

One thing people aren’t talking about is that the price tag we can infer from the Kings offer is around $25M.

I’ve got Carter at about $4.9M, Saric at $5.4M, so they total about $10.4M. Thus Kuminga’s offer would have to be at least $20.8M, is that what you’re seeing as well?
Interesting if he actually has gotten an offer from them for that, or if this is all just media conjecture……

So in 3 years he would have only missed out on an extra 27M in total from the reported 4/120 offered last year. Not really as bad as some think as some ultimate bag fumble.

I thought Saric was higher than that, so if that's the case then yeah it's more like $20M. We should take that figure seriously in terms of his "real" market value.
I assume Sacto either doesn't have the cap space to offer him that or they think GS would match it.

They don’t have the cap space to offer him that….. but they might also think we’d match it. It could be both.
I’m amongst those who think he’s going to end up back with the Warriors, on a 2+1 with the first year in the $18-20M range.
If we go forward with the rumored additions of Horford and Melton, I’m curious to see how it works out. That replaces 2 complete non-shooters (Looney, Payton) with 2 guys who stretch the floor, to the point that the only guys in our main rotation (aside from Kuminga) who are sub-par shooters would be Draymond and Butler. Obviously that’s where the biggest conflict is, but having Kuminga being on the floor with presumably only 1 non-shooter at a time should open up space and allow him to thrive more. The problem is, that’s an “on paper” analysis, where reality is potentially quite different.

Since I don’t like Kispert, I don’t see a deal with either of those that I would like. The relatively few guys who I like on either team aren’t in the right salary ranges without making the trade unwieldy, or are almost certainly untouchable by those teams (e.g. Miller on CHA).

Sac has no cap space and are only about $5M from their hard cap at the 1st apron. I have yet to see an S&T that actually works financially for them. They must have a way to dump some salary, otherwise they're stuck where they are.

I have no doubt Kuminga could be valuable for GSW if he accepted a role which maximally benefited the team, which ironically would be his best path to a large contract with GSW or elsewhere. His shooting simply isn't good enough to garner him the level of salary he apparently wants in the modern NBA however.

Would you guys be interested in Bridges for Kuminga?
Draymond and Bridges have a relationship and the Michigan St connection.
