They need to run the ball through Caitlin more. Let her run the offense. Live or die with it. Maybe White just wanted to ease her back in, listing her as small forward, but I hope this isn't indicative of how she plans to run the team for the foreseeable future.

I really thought his year would go better. Everyone was talking like Indy could compete but we're like 9-10 and they aren't even letting CC be the wnba 2k cover girl.

One game they look like world beaters, the next they look like the worst team in the league. CC doesn't even seem to be enjoying herself anymore. I think all that pressure, combined with disappointing results, is starting to get to her.

Just last season the team had a slow start and got better as they went. this year they looked like world beaters to start the season and since have been a bowl of inconsistency. i dont believe its the pressure as there was plenty of that last year. I think its injury and getting to know this new system. also worth noting how much better Howard looks when Caitlin doesnt play. be curious what the stats say but my eye test says its night and day.

Inconsistent basketball is very frustrating to watch.

Just to be clear, when I was talking about the pressure, I wasn't talking about the Fever's performance, I was talking about Clark not appearing to be as happy. I do think the injury has something to do with that though. Watching them play the Dream right now, and it's clear they are seriously limiting her minutes. I'm not really impressed with the new system, aside from the defense being improved. I'd rather see them run the offense through Caitlin, and go back to the fast break.

So, Jordan Canada gonna set the All-time record for most 3s in a game. Already has 6 in the first half.

Record is 9.

Of course. It's only halftime now, if you're not busy.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. But I wouldn't be shocked.

just in time to watch the fever give up multiple wide open 3's and commit two unforced turnovers. :-?

They're looking better now. But apologies, I thought McDonald had started today. But according to ESPN, Howard, Boston, Mitchell, Hull, and Clark were the starters. I kind of feel like McDonald should go in when Clark goes out.

Jordin Canada had six three pointers in the first half, never hit another one. Cunningham was four for five on three pointers though.
Clark just one for seven, seems like the new normal. Clark to Boston, that's a thing of beauty.
I'm a little surprised Indiana won, and fairly handily. This team is hard to predict.

Have you seen this video that's been making the rounds? It shows Caitlin Clark doing her usual "rile up the crowd" bit at a Fever game, and an assistant coach comes out and grabs her. It appears that she is admonishing her not to engage the crowd like that, but to be honest it could be something else. There's been a fair bit of commentary on YouTube about this, but the video below is pretty short and succinct.

What do you think of this? Are they against Clark playing cheerleader? Maybe they wanted her on the sideline to discuss strategy? Should they be trying to bottle up Caitlin like that? Seems to me they shouldn't get between her and the public, since she's the reason most of the crowd is there in the first place.

first time i seen it. it does looks like a "lets calm down" coaches hustle. anyway, game time, hopefully we see some better CC and int turn a more dynamic Fever squad.

If you look carefully, there is another assistant coach coming out to intercept her also, a guy. He must be chasing her down because he turns toward her right when CC turns. Some people are complaining that it's a Bobby Knight type of thing, like hey you can't grab a player. But it doesn't look malicious, even though I think it was unnecessary. They should let Clark work the crowd, it's part of her game, and her appeal.

Anyway, good game against the Wings. But to be honest, if they would have lost that one, I would have been furious. But at least they let Clark run the offense when she was in the game, for the most part. That's a necessity.

I thought Clark running the offense and getting into the paint while not turning it over was great. She was also very engaged on defense. I guess Stephanie white told her, you don’t need to be elite on defense, but you can’t be a liability, and I think that’s right. Put the scoring to the side because there will be good nights and bad on that front, but if the Fever want to really contend, I think it starts with Clark cutting down on turnovers on offense and competing on defense like she did yesterday. Those are the two keys imo.

Those five steals CC had were pretty good defense, I would say.
