True, but nobody is trading a locked in young C with RFA ahead of him for 2 years for a guy about to be an UFA. If there was an extension possibility, they'd probably do it, but there's too much risk taking Reaves to next summer without a contract. He'd have Dallas's FO over a barrel

PJ is in OP and is more valuable than Gafford.

Would be arguing PJ/Reaves - Gafford/Rui - Vando/Klay

I don’t see LAL doing it, but it is a nice balancing idea.

I have Reaves>PJ, Gafford>Rui (due to contract), Klay>Vando.
Value is fair, I don't think LAL do it because they (wrongly IMO) assign star value to Reaves, but it's a good deal for both teams.

I don't think there're tons of team which is willing to pay Reaves for 30M per. Yet you ask for 3 starters. If the Mavs won't pull the trigger with Lebron, then undoubtedly they won't part with 3 starters for a one-dimensional player like Reaves. I am strong believer in Reaves being mistaken as all-star talent. Quite possibly, both Gafford and PJ are better players. Don't read too much into the shooting percentage alongside Lebron and AD. It's not the same thing working alone. Reaves is at most comparable to Harrison Barnes.

Herb Jones is easily more valuable player but is extended with 68M for 3 years deal. Reaves is nowhere near two-way player Herb is. I think it's somewhere in 15M per range. Reaves wants a double! LA can pay for him and close Luka's windows.
