Heck of a game from McNeeley tonight! He’s got the pedigree..had injury issues in his college season, but healthy and showing amazing quickness, shot looked really good, passing, lots of rebounding and defensive hustle.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He's Gordon Hayward with actual balls.

Do we start this kid?

I actually like his upside more than Kon. Keep Miller at sg make this kid the starter at sf.

For all the talk of Kon being a bull, we all lnow Liam is tougher and more skilled.

And also UConn > Duke forever and ever.

lol your attempts at trolling are futile young sir. I cheer for everyone on the team. I have a Sean may bobcats jersey buried somewhere. Also it’s not even a rivalry. I do respect UCONN as a program though. **** UNC.

Can people have an opinion. You attack anyone who says anything negative about Kon. Cmon dude just stop already. We get you like all players. Doesn't mean we have to feel the same way you do.

Just ignore the negative comments it's not hard bud. :D

Me and MI do this. It’s what we do. I’m sure he will mention 2004 at some point. This might be the strangest comment I’ve seen you make.

All I know is that if I were Kon's chaperone I would need to bring a giant pooper scooper to the high-school dance. Liam is prom king.

He is fun to watch. Dude just plays with a lot of confidence. Sneaky Good rebounder. That means he's tough. I like that about him. I really wasn't sure what to expect from him, But that's about as good of a debut one can possibly have in the Summer League.

Politics and draft status will probably keep him out of the rotation for a while. But definitely looks like we have added some solid depth to the team with this pick.

We can dream on more. I am suspiciously biased, but I really do think his ceiling is prime Gordon Hayward. He has that dog though, something Gordon conjured but never really had deep down inside. However, Gordon was very vocal on both sides of the floor, bringing well-rounded skills in organizing teammates on both sides of the ball. He was integral to that 43 win team before missing a huge chunk of time with injury. Maybe he is our Desmond Bane of the late first round.

Liam was impressive in basically every facet of the game last night. I had some high hopes for him but never expected him to look like this right out the gate. He was talking all night on the court too as if he were a vet. Obviously one game is causing crazy overreactions both positive and negative but damn, would love to see if he can play like this all SL.

Yeah it’s one game. But it’s encouraging. I liked his stuff inside the arc, Hayward esque. Needs to add strength too, like Kalk, so probably a year away. But it’s really hard to ignore that game and the everything he did, in all facets

I will also say I preferred him to have the ball when he was in the game over anyone last night. He calmed things down and ran the offense. Certainly didn’t expect that

Being forced to play PG for UConn towards the end of last season may have been good for his development even if it seemed to be bad for his stats and hurt his draft position.

Thought the exact same thing watching him last night - that forced duty combined with the injury def tanked his draft value but we may wind up being the long term winner for it.
