Hes constantly in the right place, he's connective tissue on offense and will score on put backs. On defense he's also in the right place. He will be a solid rotational big, probably a 8-10 year career and I bet he ends up on a contender as a cheap smart backup big.

Please don't quote people on block.

And don't write "this" you aren't a teenage girl

This guy is such a chode.

Hey! He said don't quote people on block!

For the record, it's you, me, and Dez (that I know of).

If AK whiffs this pick, it’s gonna look extra bad. I think there are going to be atleast 2 all-stars past Noa in this draft. Too much talent down the board.

It would also (unfortunately) support my theory that AK only gets the obvious draft slips right (in this case, this year’s “Matas/Ayo” would’ve been Queen or Kasparas).

I like Noa’s specs, but those multiple turnovers looked rough in the highlights. No all-star potential in sight based on that handle alone. Quick judgement… but Something like that should’ve been scouted out the lottery.

Hopefully he just had a rough deer in headlights moment with the rest of the team. Toronto’s guards came ready to kill. I think Noa will be OK. This fast and physical SL ball is probably really foreign to him. But poor enough play to drain the excitement out unless he has an unreal performance next game.

Btw, Portland’s Yang looked impressive.

I hope Noa shows more in his next game. If he ends up being a bust that will set the team back for awhile.

Yang is an interesting prospect. Portland now has two centers (Yang & Clingan) who are huge. That could be a problem for opposing teams.

I’ll accept any punishment coming my way. Perhaps not being allowed to watch any more summer league games?

Nice try. Your punishment is actually being forced to watch every game. Be happy we're not making you buy a ticket to watch.

I hate summer league, everyone is keen to try get their hot take in after one game to make it look a genius.

Finally going through the game thread, and some of you should not watch Summer league haha, go enjoy your weekend!!!

This Toronto SL team has multiple current/future NBA caliber defenders(Shead, Mgobo, Walter, Lawson, Martin, Chomche), I laughed seeing how aggressive they were playing defensively. Not shocked someone like Noa struggled, and even Matas had rough moments. Guard play as per usual is atrocious, big reason the SL is such a bad product.

Gotta love this board. I missed the game but good to see all different levels of overreactions.

Noa will be fine, he just needs to find his footing, Jakucionis struggled his first few games, only made like 1 shot over his first 3 games, then he had a breakout game dropping 24 points. Give him time. The number 1 pick just had 10 pts on 5/21 shooting. It's summer league, calm down.

They had a game plan but Billy jr did the exact same crap last year.

Must be nice to suck and still have a future.

As bad as it was, at least we saw a dunk, a block, and a three.

I remain wholly unimpressed by Matas and would be very upset not only if we trade up fo him, but if we even draft him at 11

As a group they acted like the ball was on fire when it got near their hands. You want to chalk it up to guys who never played together before just had trouble forming a cohesive unit to work as a group. There's nothing to take from this game except, nobody got hurt and there's not much weight to put on summer league when two guys will make the NBA roster

Got the Kings tonight

Clifford and Raynaud....which is a great draft haul by the way
Then Isaac Jones, Mason Jones, Devin Carter, Daquan Plowden, Isaiah Crawford---all played in NBA last year

This was the fear - raised by many, like myself, who hated the pick on draft night.

At the same time, he has raw talent. It is just very, very raw.

A unbelievable ceiling, truly a boom - bust pick. But given that AKME picked him, my guess is that the bust risk is very high.

Very high bust risk, and I don't think the ceiling is as high as most think. Good potential, but not franchise changing and honestly that's fine. He's a late lottery pick, not top 5. The athleticism and length are solid, but just don't stand out enough to think star or superstar.

I'm basing this off not just 1 SL game but all the scouting reports and film I watched since we drafted him. It's a shame we don't have a better player development system to help him along.

I said on draft night he gave me Tidjane Salaün and Bruno Caboclo vibes in terms of boom/bust. This is certainly not a high floor player like I saw several say.

I'm struggling to see a scenario where, if everything goes perfect, he becomes anything better than a good role player/solid starter. He literally has to learn how to play basketball. We have to teach him how to shoot, how to dribble, how to finish/use his body, how to defend, he'll have to put on 30+ pounds, etc.

Boom or bust for sure, but the boom side is more Tayshaun Prince-lite than Giannis. We were spoiled last year getting a talent like Matas at 11, but you can't expect a player with that kind of ceiling to be regularly available in the late lottery. I think we need to re-adjust our expectations for him and have infinite patience.

Kasparas Jakucionis was available at 11 and he just scored 24 points against the Hawks.

I say that and understand why the Bulls drafted Noa. He has upside, but as you point out...it's risky.

The real answer is that the Bulls should've taken the Pelicans offer. Pick #23 (do they take Newell?) plus the chance at the 2026 pick being high...go for it. That's how the Bulls could get a player with star potential.

But, unfortunately that ship has sailed. Hopefully Noa plays better in his next game.

Kasparas also was at 1/15 FG through his first 3 games. Noa made more shots last night than KJ did through 3 games. Just goes to show how little these games mean. Some guys are more ready off the bat than others.

Exactly, surprised people didnt said Flagg will be bust after one game or KJ wouldnt be worth a 2nd rounder pick even..

And some saying Noa needs to learn everything that he would be even playable, jeeez..

Biggest embarassment for Bulls at the moment is having Billy D little boi "coaching" our prospects! Pathetic weak and cheap organization..

My favorite time of year: everyone going ape s—t over a single summer league game.

A tale as old as time.

Half the Raps would have fouled out in a real game and the Bulls would have been at the FT line 4 mins into each quarter.

It was a joke. Prison ball. Not real hoops.

Also confirmed what it looks like without a PG and how Noa and Buz don’t handle aggressive physicality well.

Exactly. Coop said it was his worst game in a long time. He mentioned the speed and space were completely different and he would have to adjust.

Noa will be fine once he has Giddey and Tre leading the break and his role is super defined.

Yep. We will get smoked again.

Let’s see what Olbrich does against Reynaud. Rey is very advanced offensively.

Watching the highlights and what I figured was true: Raps played this like it was game 7 of the NBA finals  I give them props for playing hard but they were really doing the most.
I don't do the dishes, I throw them in the crib
