Some people were making fun of Portland during the draft but we might be looking back at that pick as a steal someday.

Portland must think Timberwolves was going to draft Yang, so traded with Grizzlies. It makes sense as Connelly must see a little Joker in Yang. In just one summer league game, Yang already look like a better passer than the entire Wolves team. He got natural talent seeing the floor and great passing touch. He is still a couple years away from adjusting to NBA speed. Some of his defensive angle and offensive moves won't work in NBA

I just need more than 10 minutes a game every 3rd or fourth game. I'm probably being unfair and I should give him a chance to play a second season, but I'm very dissapointed he hasn't stepped up.

he was a 3-4 year project. Not sure why people expect him to put the necessary 30 lbs of muscle on in one year. He's clearly put on about 10 lbs of muscle already and it's already affected his game positively. He looks so much better. I'm betting that by next summer he'll look the part of a lottery talent. This goes for many of the 2024 kids btw. They were either projects or drafted on teams giving them no minutes. When the dust settles everyone will eat crow about that draft class.

You don’t need to be fully developed to make some effort plays on the ball. Cody just seems to have the complete opposite of “that dawg in him”, nose for the ball, etc. That’s a mentality thing that I’m not sure can be developed

Dude has some real BBIQ. I'm still not gonna touch the Jokic thing, but he's clearly got eyes around the league that aren't typical for rookies. In this game there were multiple times he's pointing out defensive mismatches on the court in realtime.

It's still messy Summer League play, but he's already got some impressive eyes on the court where you can see why the Blazers YOLO'd that pick.

I'm trying to say let's at least bring it down to Marc Gasol.

When I used to run pick-up in the 90's in Houston, it wasn't uncommon for people to say "Larry Bird in here!" after I took one or two jumpers. (I shot 26/34 from three in my one full season of HS ball.)

However, I'm about 5'9"-5-10" and not one of the greatest passers in NBA history. Probably could've at least brought it down to Steve Kerr.

Reed would be must have for fantasy teams if he was on a bad team where he got 30+ minutes a night

I’m sure Udoka will still find a way to play Aaron Holiday over him.

Reed is him.

I'm concerned for his career in Houston.

Hope he isn't wasted and labeled a bust.

FVV signed a two-year deal. They sign Sheppard to a smaller extension because he hasn't played much, and by the time he gets the pt and outperforms his deal, the Rockets already won.

That artist is amazing, almost like looking a photograph of Reed. It's just so slightly off, I can't figure out what's wrong with it.

Bryant has looked really good defensively in every game. He's freakishly athletic

Cooper is being guarded like it's the NBA finals game 7.

Everyone else faced with far less tenacity.

Same thing that's happening to Caitlin Clark.
