Not watching the game but I like how Malauch is airing out threes. Hasn’t made any but he’s a guy that can possibly develop a three in the future.

That plus the lack of athleticism really stick out to me.
Agreed
I don’t see it
He jacks up a few threes doesn’t hit any and posters are like wow that’s great lol
If he did that as a raptors he would be crucified

He’s a solid free throw shooter and hasn’t been playing basketball for a long time. The potential is there.

Yeah him being raw should not be shocking to anyone. If we drafted him, he would be 905 bound but we already have Chomche. That's why it didn't make sense to draft him. Don't need 2 "projects" at the same position.
Judging him a month after the draft...he isn't going to change in that amount of time..lol. for any team trying to win, he should never have been written in as a backup. Let's check back in 2 years and see how he has progressed.

Yup. It was evident pre-draft as well. People over-indexed for the CBA level of competition stuff

Re: Summer League Thread
Yes, Yang looked good. Probably immediately upgrades Portland with Ayton out. Maybe that's pushing it, but I did not like Ayton at all.
As for our team, well they put a smile on my face.
AJ, impressive.
Battle, slow start but looked good.
Martin and Mogbo on the court together was entertaining. Mo Dunks! That made me laugh. They seemed to have good chemistry feeding each other. Also these two wound up as the highest +/- players on the team.
Shead. We can sit him out. Too good at what he does already. But keep him in and lets win this (meaningless) thing.
JKW. Same as Shead above.
Looking forward to seeing CMB tomorrow.
I don't know how many minutes these guys will get, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy watching the bench mob play next season.

Count me in as part of the Yang Gang. I wish he were a Raptor. Didn't get the overreaction when Portland took him in the first round.

Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

He's pretty much a bigger version of what people though that Wolf was going to be. Wolf is likely too small to be a legit C. I think Wolf's ceiling is Olynyk while Yang's ceiling looks like Arvydas Sabonis.

Bryant is insane on the defensive end. Next OG.

Re: Summer League Thread
Carter Bryant looks like prime Ben Simmons on defense. I hope CMB is as good as advertised because Bryant is definitely a 16 game player off the eye test
"Above average role player is now being paid like a superstar from one good playoff series. This will end up as one of the worst contracts in the league." paulbball on Pascal Siakam

Re: Summer League Thread
Baffled by all of this love Carter Bryant is getting. Yes he’s been good on defence but he’s been one of the worst if not the worst offensive players at SL.
I don’t think he’s made more than 3 field goals over the last 4 SL games.
