I feel like Bobby and Kuz biggest roles are to be good enough to win regular season games and keep Giannis's minutes low this year

I love this signing. I’ve wanted him in our top 8-9 rotation since the playoff series vs Orlando. We took a bigger step forward than most will think with this move.

He is in theory a better floor spacer to play off GA but GA and KPJ have that insane chemistry, although maybe you save that for closing lineups and let GA cook with off ball starters during the first then let KPJ get going against bench lineups.

He will be our best defender and he will be a rebounding demon for us. He can be POA and stretch the floor + handle it enough.

Kpj needs the ball in his hands, he wont be on the court with giannis much imo

We dogs again??

We should be a top 5 defense this year

What's more disappointing than this dumb signing are the number of posters that think this guy is any good. He's not a good player. Reminds me of all the posiives about Kuzma I heard on this board after the move (athletic and can attack the basket).

The only positive that I agree with is he plays wih an edge. So does TA.

The guy is inefficient, has no point guard ability, is not good at defense and totally unswitchable (take your selective advanced stats and put them where the sun don't shine).

You can excuse it as a mnimum signing, but when you have a coach like Doc, we can expect him to play a lot, especially since his Dad is a friend. I'd rather have Gary Harris, that's how bad Antthony is. Harris is a bettter defender and smart enough not to shoot too much.

Orlando got rid of him and HIS PLAYING TIME DECREASED EVERY YEAR SINCE HIS SECOND YEAR. Memphis just traded Bane and still didn't want him.

Anthony can get on a heater, but he is not a good player and Orlando and Memphis knew it.

Green, Rollins, KPJ and Trent are much better in every facet of the game. Doc has Horst by the nuts.

Lolz. It’s a minimum signing. Touch some grass. It’s like some of you guys would rather have had Westbrick or CP3.

I got it slightly different.

Point Guard:
Cole

Combo Guard:
KPJ | Rollins

Swingmen:
Trent | Green | Harris

Wing Forward:
Prince | Jackson

Power Forward:
Giannis | Bobby | Kuzma | Smith

Center:
Turner | Sims

You guys gonna piss your pants when kuz starts at the 3?

Big O has the correct take on all counts. The Doc connection is spot on.

I’d watch this guy in Orlando and he was an incredibly selfish chucker. Now, all that said for a minimum signing he’s fine. I just don’t want Doc to play him over AJ Green, Rollins, etc.

Nah paul you are missing it. Hes a pest on defense. has hops and a tenacious rebounder for his size 6 foot 2 averaging 1 offensive rebound a game for his career. He will be the perfect annoying gnat on defense for this new pace and defend era the bucks are building around turner/Giannis

Point is to have a lot of these guys like Indy and run down teams throats.. keep everyone's min down if possible .. F the MVP bs and just win with low minutes

For a minimum signing this isn’t too bad, not my first choice but we’ve got a solid rotation of youngish guards after being so old before. Thanasis being backed should be expected, I do think he legitimately helps Giannis at least. How many roster spots are we at?

Don't like the pacers, but credit to them for the style of play. It does seem like we're trying to replicate some of that with all of these younger peskier guys with some speed and athleticism. Like others have said, let's get our SF and ride

Not a wing, so I dunno Horts. Better than Harris and a true PG, but I'd rather run Rollins.

Maybe Rollins can play some 3 in situations.

Not a signing you make if you are about to trade for Malik Monk or another shot happy guard.

Yup, I think the only possible move left is a Kuzma deal and that may not happen until the deadline, if at all.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Breaking news, two teams that have too much depth gave up on a depth piece? No kidding.

The Grizzlies gave us Grayson Allen for Sam Merrill, then they waived Merrill.

Grayson Allen is now on a 4/70 deal
Merrill is on a 4/40

Thats the problem with a team having too much depth and not enough high end talent. You end up having to dump quality players for nothing.

This is fine as long as he's just depth, IMO. But that was the same case with Prince (to a lesser extent), which a whole bunch of people freaked out about. There's this concern about saving Doc from himself - don't give him pieces he can use incorrectly. I don't agree you should build a roster with that coach-fear, but I do think that same thing applies here. Anthony as fine, and good even, as long as he isn't played above his role. So I'll hold my thoughts to see how we use him.

I like this signing, don’t understand some of the negative Nancy’s. Giannis has needed athletes for years. I have a good feeling about his intangibles. Horst is going in the right direction, finally! This team is going to be good

I heard you guys might get Cole Anthony. Let me say that Cole is an amazing person, great culture setter, he will embrace you guys, he love being around the players and fans. You’ll love his personality, his post game interviews, his incredible hop and rebounding (he is a great rebounder—if it wasn’t for teammates asking him to stop “stealing” rebounds he might have led our team in rebounds), and most importantly his explosive games where he goes absolutely crazy (they can happen at any time).

But let me be honest, he gets hunted on defense, his explosive games are few and far between, he is inconsistent, and he hasn’t shown up in the playoffs the last two times he was there. He averaged 4/2/1.3 in 12 minutes in the 12 games that he played. We did not limit his minutes because it was the playoffs, they were limited due to his production.

I hope he has a breakout season with you guys. The last two seasons he was dealing with personal problems that affected his production so badly that I think a new scenery might bring him back to the old Cole—and that Cole is special. But whatever you guys do, treat him well, he’s a good guy.
