Anyone watching this? I just saw the first 2 episodes, and I have to say that it feels like this will be great season.

Gonna start it on Monday after I get back from Las Vegas tomorrow night. I thought Dexter: Original Sin was good, so am excited for this.

Does he raise famous serial killers from the dead and then kill them again? If not, not interested

This is really good so far. I wasn't a big fan of the last two reboots. They were watchable, but I didn't think either show was great. This one, at least so far, feels inspired. I like the new characters too.

Who's watching this?

Episode 5 dropped last night and I really like this so far. I think it's hands down the best Dexter reboot. Better than the late seasons of the original Dexter too.
Spoiler:
Bringing Bautista back was a good move and his return makes sense in the Dexter universe. Uma is fun, even if her screen time is light, she's intimidating. Peter Dinklage is always good. Neil Patrick Harris & Kristen Ritter get to play serial killers. It's such a goof from a certain point of view. It moves quickly. It's got a lot of characters. It's fun.

And props to Kadia Saraf as the cop who's trying to figure this out. She's believably intelligent and skeptical. Dexter has some serious opposition and potential threats this time. I never felt that way with resurrected, and original sin is OK, but we kind of know what's going to happen. We know he's going to make young person mistakes, but not get caught.

The original dexter could get away with one major threat at a time because it was a groundbreaking show, but that's why I think, the reboots before this one didn't really work. They were just more of the same. This reboot is a step forward into something more twisted. Less plausible, but more fun.

Just my 2 cents.

It's the fastest hour on TV I've ever experienced. The writing and pacing is just great imo.

Not yet but yeah I agree it's right up there with the best of the original series.

A show that kills a bad dude every episode being named "Original Sin" and "Resurrection"... makes sense.

i mean, it's really just a perfect continuation of the main series. really impressed so far and glad we have this.

maybe a different thread, but very disappointed they canceled original sin. thought it too was excellent. ratings must have been low, because i don't know anyone who didn't appreciate it.

and with resurrection looking like it'll work, original sin could have gone on a bit longer with some fun ties/explanations/context.

too bad.

Haven't watched Original Sin yet....but regarding its cancellation, I recall my wife saying it was originally renewed, but they then decided that they wanted to put all their money and focus into Resurrection...which has been renewed.

All this talk about Dexter made me realize that we never saw Dexter. Since there's no basketball, my wife and I have binged 6 seasons since this thread went up!
