Did I say adding players in free agency is the "wrong" way to build a team?

Sent from my SM-G781B using RealGM mobile app
Well.........yeah. I mean, why else make the contrast between OKC and Miami and characterize OKC as the right way? That, by default, makes building around your franchise player through free agency as the wrong way, no?

Nah you're just attempting to create something out of nothing.

I didn't say Miami did it wrong - you deliberately attempted to create something out of nothing.

And still are.

You can attempt it.

I keep getting tricked into coming back into this thread expecting talk of a shiny new PF but all I’m getting is essentially a private conversation

Take it for what it’s worth, but it supports the idea of Detroit signing Boucher. Considering the names left in free agency, I would like to see this one happen

Ok, so the Miami mention was admittedly unnecessary since it wasn't actually in contrast to OKC. I get what you're saying now. Glad you cleared it up.

Where’s the Dame Dash or Cam’ron “PAUSE” gif when you need it? :nonono:

“Sporting wood”?

If this thread has devolved to “sporting wood” and Chris Boucher being the potential best case scenario, it might be time to pull the plug on this thread.

Right or Wrong, the Heat went to the finals twice with no players drafted in the top 10 with many G-Leaguers and late round picks getting solid rotation minutes. I think on one Finals run 2019 I think they had 7 undrafted players playing big roles. Those guys really bought into the Heat Culture system and played solid team ball.

Should've traded Drummond and Griffin for a bunch of picks to kickstart the rebuild like OKC did it.

Oh, wait... nobody but the Pistons were willing to pay for Griffin when he was on the trade block before his subsequent two injuries, and Drummond got traded for peanuts -- because everyone knew that he was an empty stats merchant -- just to rid the team of his salary.

Whoops.

Hey, we really helped kickstart the Clippers rebuild.

You forgot the other secret to a quick rebuild: find a sucker. We were that sucker.

We had to start from scratch because we had no assets.

That begs the question: “Who currently employs Jeff Bower and how can we take advantage of that situation ?”

All kidding aside, after the draft night fiasco with the unprotected pick, Weaver and Joe D look ripe for the picking.

Hopefully we can finesse Trey Murphy for pennies on the dollar.

They're suckers, but clearly suckers in the way that they're convinced they can compete next year. So there's no way they'd trade Trey.
