I know he’s bigger than Beringer but the difference in speed and fluidity between the two is remarkable. I like Rocco, but he’s a long ways from contributing to an NBA team.

With all due respect to our Aussie and New Zealand brothers, Rocco looked like a Lego Godzilla going up and down the court.

My expectations are low and you can blame JB for that.

JB was playing the four next to Jed. I would love to see both on the floor together in the next game. We could even call it the Jocco connection!

Damn!!! These to give-and-go plays are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen so far from Rob! This might be as flashy as Yang Hansen high post passing, but I am very excited. Imagine Rob playing such game instead of taking difficult long range jumpers.

I hope he lives in the gym this whole year. He needs to get into a lot better shape. He has a lot of talent, just needs to get his body to an NBA standard.

Rocco is running back in defense might be huge advantage for us. If he is able to move fast, his 7'3"frame is a weapon by itself.

I mean this in the best way possible, but he might be this generation's Darko Milicic.

"Manna from Queensland"

You can't be Darko if you are drafted in the second round. Any minutes that he plays in an NBA game is a success as second rounder are a long shot to stick around for more than 3 years.

In that sense, you're right, but that's why I said in the best way possible. I'm not calling him a bust, I'm calling him a very raw project who can provide value just due to his size but probably not at an elite level. I think they both had appealing physical attributes that merited hype and excitement, but knowing it will take years.

I think he'll be better than Darko, simply because Rocco is tougher and seems to give a damn and frankly, for a secound round pick, that's at least a triple if not a home run.

We will know a lot more a year from now after Rocco is starting C for the Iowa Wolves. A full season in our practices and in Iowa games should be a ton of data not only about his current skill level, but also the level at which he absorbs and implements coaching.

We should have taken Proctor.

So we're going to force feed him bananas for the potassium and he'll end up trying to get one of his tattoos to drink a beer?
