Sarr is looking like a bit of a beast of the defensive end and also Kyshawn is looking good on that end too.

If we can get Bub to get a better handle and find a way for him to become a less streaky shooter, this team has the makings of a really fun team.

Sarr
George
Tre
Bub

And add another top end first round pick and the team could actually become something one day

Sarr has missed some good looks but they are exactly the kind of shots you want him to take.

12/7 with 4 blocks in a half. A lot different from a year ago.

In the last 4 quarters, including the Phoenix game- Sarr has 25 points. In all of summer league last year, Sarr had 22 points (5.5 ppg average through 4 games according to realgm).

Bub, Sarr, George and Tre are going to be a fun group to watch when together on the floor chemistry is there.

Shut it down. Sarr is too good for Summer League.

Looks like a completely different player after the 1st half of game one.

When I am thinking about beast mode, I am referring to work in the post against other Centers.

That was good defense but it didn't matter.

Mark Jones is one of the best in the business, but he always struggles in Summer League with the rosters.

No. Our weak interior will be a big problem, assuming no big additions.

Kyshawn George isn't a new player. He's called him Keyonte George numerous times, and also called him Kyshawn Johnson.

He's also confused Tre Johnson and Bub and has confused Wolf and Timme several times.

Through three quarters, the positives.
George, even when not shooting well, fills the boxscore and gets his hands on a lot of balls. Excellent pick by Dawkins and company and I wasn't sure about that one.
Saar (playing against mostly slow backup bigs) has had a strong game
Tre is going to be something special.
Bub is streaky but when he gets going, he's fun to watch. Rebounded well.
Riley showed up but will need more strength to play this season if at all.
Watkins may be able to help some on D

Negatives
Don't see it with AJ Johnson other than his athleticism. Not sure about the BBIQ. Some of his passes in halfcourt made no sense.
Like to see Alex finish better off the dribble or just pass it out for an open 3. I get that he's working on things for SL
Bub needs a stronger left hand. Still not sure he's the future at the point.

So fire him. He just said they were punch drunk after four days in Vegas. He's still a great broadcaster. I also wonder if they have spotters there, which he certainly could use.
