Guys act like CMB is a 7 foot 1 guy  ....Hes wing sized he better be able to dribble the ball....Hes not some big guy where it is amazing that he has a handle though...

He's a 6'7 240 lbs dude, i didn't expect such a heavy guy be so fluid handling the ball.

So many taller guys in the league have handles and offensive bags....CMB at 6'7" being able to handle the ball doesn't impress me since hes wing sized....I expect him as a NBA player to able to dribble.

What is the correlation between weight and ball handling

I said fluid with the ball, weight has a lot of impact on fluidity and agility. The bigger you are the harder it is to move, i think it's pretty simple. That's what makes guys like Lebron and Anthony Davis special, being able to move so well with the ball while being big dudes.

I can see Jakobe's skillset being more valuable in the starting 5 than RJ's and forcing his way into the starting 5 which would be great

Jakobe shouldn’t be getting any minutes with our current rotation unless we have injuries… people are acting like ochai agbaji doesn’t exist… guy is ahead of all of our wing players…

I’m not sure why people overrate these guys. Rj is a legit nba player and would be dominating this summer league run… meanwhile jakobe still looks average at best and hasn’t really stood out.

That being said for the sake of balance I would use Rj as the sixth man scorer.

Quickley/ochai/ingram/barnes/poeltl
Shead/dick/barrett/boyles/mogbo

Although I would replace dick with battle depending on who the better shooter is.

Chomche is ready for NBA minutes. It'll be the best way to develop him. I would hope we play him in 40-50 games this year to get him development time. The FT shooting from him was great to see he's nailing it.

Not sure any of this is accurate in any respect

as a former college footbal player i can tell you 6'7 240 lbs is a big dude, you're stuck on height only but 240 lbs at 6'7 is a lot of weight to move. Being able to move like that at weight is pretty impressive.

Jakobe's game is better suited in the starting 5 than RJ's imo.

RJ's high volume low efficiency game is not ideal for a winning team and if there's anybody whose over rated on this board it's definitely him.

* I would hope a player like RJ whose earned 85 Million so far in his career and guaranteed another 50+ would dominate these runs....*

We are replacing a lottery pick in year 3 with Jamison Battle now?

Seems unlikely

RJ’s game isn’t ideal for anybody if winning games is a goal but he’s like a 6 year NBA starter, he’s gonna start.

This is implying that there are no offensive players with good work ethic and character either. If shooting was that easy to improve, why do so many hard workers who apparently work on their shot year after year make no progress? Then you even have players like dick who are drafted as shooters but are only average at best in the league.

That’s not what this is implying at all.

They just obviously value things above shooting. A guy who can defend and play make but also shoot would be 100% a raptors pick

That’s an everybody pick…

Ok?

But yes. There are good offensive players with work ethic. But they lack defence which we obviously value
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

He’s our 3rd string C. He’ll def get some minutes, mostly garbage time. But if Poeltl or Mamu get in foul trouble, or one gets hurt, he’ll be relied on.

My thoughts.

For CMB, how is he that heavy, but looks small
He is quick, so that weight isn't an issue
Don't see him as a C
He did make a 3, though he stepped out.
Would like to know how long he was not playing before tonight.
Mogbo I thought should spend time in GLeague getting better touch. Now, he is dunking mist time which is even better.

Could have swore after game 1 someone said Martin could already replace IQ. Lol

We really do seem to have to try and make either a consolidation trade, or trade someone for a pick.

Castleton really stands out as a liability that will be gone and replaced with another big.

Keep telling myself, if these guys could shoot, they wouldn't be on the Raps because they would all be high picks.

It's great depth, but none are threatening a starter this coming year.

No hes going to be in the g league. He is not getting any minutes unless significant injuries.

lol I forgot about him… interesting a bunch of guys aren’t getting minutes. My guess is jakobe is out of the rotation for sure. Probably battle as well but again if dick isn’t hitting his 3s at an elite level I don’t think he should get guaranteed minutes either. And I guess mogbo and Boyles are fighting for minutes. I’m guessing Boyles is the odd man out because of experience. Maybe they send him to gleague? Although if he outplays mogbo, he might be backup 4. I guess the added depth helps for when Ingram inevitably gets hurt.

UC can really pass eh? Some of his inside passes were so nice. Especially the one in tight to Mogbo

RJ, while obviously not as good, is like Derozan. They were born in the wrong era.
