Gradey was eligible for the summer league he should have been a part of it. Players like Walter, Dick, Martin and other undersized wings who can't handle the ball aren't going to special in the NBA.

And if he doesn’t he won’t play much. I also think now that we are trying to win and have added some good defenders, they can set up some schemes to try and hide Gradey as best as they can. They have been throwing Gradey to the fire on defence bc we were tanking and not trying to win just to see what he could do in a way I don’t think they will do next season. Darko sometimes used to just put Gradey on the other team’s best offensive initiator just to see what would happen lol. Gradey will no longer be starting which should also help him bc he’ll be guarding lesser players. But everything is a wait and see game. If he doesn’t earn the minutes he won’t play. Simple. But I would bet it would be Ochai and Ja’Kobe that plays over him if that happens, not Battle.

Ochai is a NBA level rotation 3+D player and Ja’Kobe has serious potential as a scorer.

Battle is none of those things unfortunately and there’s really no room for growth at all

Obviously Gradey is the better prospect. Battle was undrafted for a reason, but he’s far from a scrub. You don’t shoot 40% from 3 in the nba if you’re a scrub.

Battle may actually fit better with some of the starters because of his ability to be knockdown from 3

They should take him off air and get someone else. He's set up some great content as a producer. They're the only ones who have a Chomche interview. They've also got Shead and a few others coming up. The Bobby one was really well done too.

With BI on the team, Dick's going to get a ton of run.

Holy crap. That changes a lot then. I don’t expect him to do much then just get into shape.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

A better fit to do what? Playing basketball?

And plenty of scrubs have averaged 40% from 3 on like 3 shots before

I watched Battle when he was Gradey’s age in college and he hasn’t gotten any better at defense since then lol

He’s not a player worth caring about in any respect

I think the more realistic question for Gradey is whether he will get over/under 20 MPG lol.

I really hope he does because that'll mean he made great strides.

I was never the one who called him a scrub lol. I completely disagree with that statement. Battle is an NBA player with an NBA skill. I love Battle. He’s just not better than Gradey. Especially when most people are making that statement solely bc he has a better 3 point percentage and they aren’t taking in the context of why that is, which I explained in detail in my previous post. Gradey is also a really good driver and was shooting crazy good from midrange to start last season. He’s way more than just a 3 point shooter, where that is literally all Battle is at the current moment. Most of Gradey’s struggles on offence and defence stem from his lack of strength and stamina. It’s probably why he was much better offensively and defensively to start last season after he bulked up. The moment he lost the weight was when he started to go down hill. I truly believe that if Gradey can bulk up and keep the weight on that’s when we will see his offensive potential more consistently

With BI on the team, I think he could be the second option. I think people are expecting too much from BI this year.

Yes is that news to you? The Brandon Ingram trade and resigning of Jak made that pretty clear.

Let alone the fact that the front office has been saying they are trying to compete. It’s pretty clear they are done rebuilding.

Also pls name me 3 players who have averaged 40% from 3 that are scrubs lol

I don't give a crap what he was in college lol. Battle has shown more defensively in the 2 summer league games than Gradey has in his NBA career.

Now that doesnt mean Gradey will remain that way, he just has LONG strides to make to get there. Gradey is the better prospect for a reason.

When Ingram plays like 45 games again, you can guarantee Dick will get plenty of minutes

Good to know.
