Detroit looks good. Squad is going to be good this year. Holland will help this year for sure.

Raptors are deploying OKC's strategy of 'they can't call every foul'

They have a lot of big wingspans and rely on a scramble defense. They aren't fouling.

I'm not mad at it.... the magic's regular team does it a bit too... but they are bear hugging anyone that has the ball.
Also... Shaed is one tough MF'er. Dude is good.

Didn't see a minute of him playing but his boxscores suggest he cant score... no concerns there?
Nope. Defensive beast already. It's ok if a young player has to develop. The motor and instincts he shows are in the you can't teach category. One of those have to see him play types as I agree O box scores don't paint a good picture so far. I'd say they rather paint an incomplete picture.
I knew people would focus on the couple of good plays and ignore the rest of the game. Hard not to when the announcers were glazing him non-stop after those plays but then were conveniently quiet the remaining 3/4 of the game while Flagg was putting up 31 points. He's certainly gifted and has the makings of a good defender but "beast" after that game is getting carried away.

Despite that, he got 4 steals so far.
he has elite cat-quick hands, high defensive BBIQ, hops and gambles so his stocks always look good but actual defending he's a liability due to his size and lack of lateral agility.

Poor Bub Carrington. Out there with a less talented and less motivated DeAndre Ayton at center, the biggest ball hog I've ever seen at 2, and whoever Will Riley is at whatever Will Riley is... rough going.

Bub is deferring to the better player (Johnson) as he should.

Check what CF shot when guarded directly by Bryant and get back to us.

That was the point I was making about CB…people questioning his scoring when that’s not his game (yet)

Traore will be the Nets main point guard. He still has to improve his handle, reduce turnover, and since he is (relatively) small, better time his release when penetrating (especially when tall guy like Sarr is lurking), but he is quick and have good vision for passing and distributing the ball. Saraf is stronger/taller, but slow. Demin is the better shooter among the three, but he is not a point guard.

Filipowski is going to be in the most improved running this year IMO. He should get plenty of playing time and his game has taken a major step up.
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

He was never a 'scorer' in college. He's as good 3 point shooter. You hope that part of the game develops.
He made a statement prior to the SL that he cares about defense #1. He's going into that role. He's smart because he will make $250M in the league and not flame out like someone like Tre Johnson who is the least valuable archetype
He's the kind of dude who will feed with the gravity that Wemby demands from the other team. And Fox, Harper, etc.
Will look much better offensively with legit NBA players around.
Think Ryan Dunn on the Suns last year. The amount of wide open shots he took with nobody within 10 feet of him last year(and bricked) is ridiculous. Carter is a way better shooter coming out of college.
He's the perfect complimentary piece on that team. Enough chefs in the kitchen, need someone to peel the potatoes as well. At least for a while, until you learn and become a chef yourself.

Re: 2025 Las Vegas Summer League (July 10-20)
I’m tired of how NBA teams treat fans. Teams shut down their rookies after a game or two now… it’s just summer league but it’s a whole culture at this point and it sucks.
