Looks like nobody wants to be an assistant for Brown.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

He coached Bridges also so that's a plus. He's also an analytic guy during his time in college.

The Italian-born Fois, who previously starred at Pepperdine University, has also been an assistant coach at the University of Arizona, reaching the Sweet 16 in two of his three seasons working under Tommy Lloyd. That tenure also included two Pac-12 titles and a top seed honor in 2022. Elsewhere on the collegiate level, Fois was director of analytics at Gonzaga University, helping the accomplished men's program reaching its first national championship game in 2017.
Fois was also the director of player development when the Phoenix Suns made their run to the 2021 NBA Finals and personally worked with current Knicks starter Mikal Bridges.
"Riccardo is one of the most hard working people I know," Bridges previously said of Fois when the latter left for the Wildcats in 2021, per Arizona athletics. "All he cares about is getting people better and winning. The best thing about him is he's an even greater person. He helped me a lot with developing my game and never letting me get too comfortable."

This is just a boring scrimmage until the 4:50 mark. That’s when Mike blows a gasket. The only thing he says that I can make out is, “I DON’T GIVE A FCK!!!”

So Coach Brown likes to employ the “Boom Boom Boom” defense. I hope towns learns to adjust.

what happened to full autonomy of his staff? I don't like this. carry over 1 or 2 assistants, but basically the entire staff stays and just Mike Brown and a couple of his guys sends the message that it was basically all Thibs' fault. + consider some of those assistants are loyal to Thibs, could cause a fractured locker room if they don't hit the ground running

Majority of the assistants were picked by the FO though lol, only Dice and Greer are “Thibs guys”

Also it was reported yesterday Brown is bringing one of Kings assistants over from Mike’s staff.

I don’t see why it’s seen as a bad thing that the coach and president are on the same page when it comes to organizational decisions, it’s no different in any other well run organization.

Also when you fire the head coach and keep the roster intact of course that signals that you think it was the coach’s fault

Now the Knicks FO is getting assistants around the league paid. They should start calling about ballboys because those kids need the extra money.

There are rumors that Thibs doesn't let his staff give any criticisms when it comes to his rotations and game plans. It's basically either "Yes" or "No", but otherwise Thibs does things his way always. That's not how you suppose to empower your staff.

If they were Thibs' loyalists, they would leave on their own merit, but them coming back says to me that they're not that loyal. Good on them, and maybe they'll get more credit and lend a voice to Mike Brown.
