Get in price was around $40 as of a day ago. Public knew this was going to be crappy.

Why do you think that is given their last fight.

Well that was an anticlimactic women's final. Anisimova clearly didn't have it...but 0-6 0-6 is rough.

Losing didn't surprise me but didn't expect a shutout. Brutal.

Booked a cruise on Royal Caribbean to surprise the wife for her 40th bday in Feb. Going to Cococay, San Juan, and then St. Thomas. Anyone have any good tips? Never been on a cruise. All I know so far is the drink package isn't worth the price.

Thats a wild statement to begin with, but Taylor is so much better and Serrano looked scared to get pieced up again. She shoulda ditched her trainer for this one. Lots of Amanda throwing at air last night.

Kinda random but would anyone have a good tattoo artist recommendation for a bucks tattoo? Been thinking about getting one for awhile now but I have no clue where to look for someone

I went on my first cruise 2 years ago, also Royal Caribbean, the Wonder of the Seas.

Triple check that you have all of your meds, medical devices, etc. packed. Basically anything that you wouldn't be able to replace on the boat. They will have a mall-type area with shops, but it isn't a typical vacation where you can run to Target if you forgot something.

Book your excursions early. They fill up fast. If you don't see any you like at a port, there will be locals you can hire to drive you to a beach to swim and snorkel.

I don't drink much anymore. I passed on the drink package and so did my wife. We just paid to drink a couple of nights. It was fine. Pay for the case of water package.

What kind of room did you get? I had an ocean balcony and it was definitely worth it. If you got an interior room with no windows or balcony, upgrade now. I peeked in one, and it looked depressing. My coworker had that type of room on his first cruise last year and did not like it.

If the meal arrangements are still the same, you get 1 night to eat at one of the better restaurants, but those reservations also get booked fast. When you first get on the boat you will have 1-2 hours to kill before your cabin is ready. Go look at all of the restaurants and their menus and decide where you want to make reservations.

It's been too long since I was on a cruise to give meaningful advice. There weren't restaurants where you needed reservations for example. But a couple of things. The first cruise we did an inside cabin because we figured we would only be in the cabin to sleep. Otherwise we'd be on land or doing stuff elsewhere on the ship. And while that was true I couldn't stand it. Second cruise we had an outside cabin, much better. Second thing is, and I still think this is true, if you are on a ship sponsored excursion and for some reason it's running late, the ship will wait for you. If you hire someone at the dock or just go off on your own and you aren't back when the ship leaves, too bad.

The way it works now (at least on the cruise I took), is that there are the grab and go places and the buffet that you can just walk in and eat any time.

Then there is a dining room(s) where you can eat a 3-course dinner, but at the start of the cruise you are given a specific time slot when you can go each day. You don't have to go, but it is an option if you want something nicer than the other places.

Finally, there are the nicer restaurants where you can try walking up but you usually need a reservation during peak hours. 1 of these meals was included with our package, and if you wanted to go more than that you had to pay extra.

And yes, if you are late at a port they will either leave you or let you back on but you can't leave the boat for the rest of the trip.

Yeah, we have a balcony. I heard mixed things about the water package. Some say get it and some say the tap water on the ship is filtered enough and tastes fine. Good call on the meds and what not. Thanks for the advice.

Weird question. I was gone all weekend and my wife was with the kids. She left Saturday morning and my dog had peed on the carpet (literally never happens when I'm home) in my office. She was gone until Sunday night and when I got home it was still wet. She said she cleaned it but probably not amazing. It was a ton of pee. Now, my office reeks. I've shampooed it three times. I've tried water+vinegar mix, baking soda, nothing can get rid of it. Any out of the ordinary tricks or do I suck it up and pay a company to clean/de-odor it for me?

The only thing ive used that really worked was hydrogen peroxide with a little baking soda and dishsoap. Nature's miracle and other enzyme cleaners didn't seem to do much.

Test it first on somewhere inconspicuous. It should be nice to your carpet but you never know.

If you haven't you need to try something like Nature's Miracle or something that is specific to eliminating pet odors. When my wife was pregnant with our first in 2020 we adopted a puppy and it peed all over the family room and my wife's enhanced sense of smell couldn't even be around the chemical smell from the pet odor eliminator.

Instead of paying a company, I would buy your own carpet cleaner. Something like this would probably do the trick.

'Maybe Fox Sports can become a real challenger to ESPN,' he wondered to himself, shortly before seeing news that Fox Sports was hiring two Barstool bone heads to join their telecasts.
