Would you prefer to have Myers instead of Dunleavy right now?

I can't believe I'm asking this, but given a choice, who would you want making moves (cough, cough) this off-season, Myers or Dunleavy?

I wasn't a Bob Myers fan, but I'm sickened by what I'm seeing from Dunleavy this off-season, starting with once again blowing the draft. My god, they're literally paying this guy millions to do absolutely nothing.

So...

I came here thinking you meant Michael Myers. Yes, come to think of it, he would be the best choice. No way we'd be this far into the off-season with nothing happening if Michael Myers was the GM. :D

Bob Myers couldn't make the right draft picks. Dunleavy hits more often than not.

I know it's controversial still, but it is my belief that Myers overrode his personnel guys and drafted Wiseman in order to please Lacob. That was inexcusable. A PoBO that can't stand up to his owner on personnel matters is useless.

Get back to us when MDJ has had at least three lottery draft picks he selected. His highest so far was #19 (Podz).

Also remember that Jerry West was hired as a consultant to Lacob in May 2011, and Myers became the GM in April 2012 (after being an assistant to Riley for a year). At that point, Lacob wasn't meddling much or injecting his 2nd timeline blueprint for the future.

Joe: what do you think of James Wiseman, he is my pick.
Bob: yes he is future HOFer!
Joe: what do you think of our future?
Bob: we have 2nd timeline baby

This Bob?

I'm really not sure what Bob was good at. Supposedly managing Draymond, but Draymond's punch happened under him so ...

It wasn't drafting. He was one of the worst drafter in the NBA.

Was it trades? I guess he was able to dump salary using 1sts but he still had to use a 1st. The KD trade and Dlo trades were good.

Andre choose the warriors by himself. KD choose the warriors by himself.

I think the best thing was that he had connections to other agents/gms so he had an open line communications to the industry?

He's also terrible on tv. I feel dumber just listening to him on ESPN.

Myers turned KD leaving into 2022 Wiggins and another championship. MDJ made some good draft picks but also mortgaged the future to be an also-ran.

How? We are out 1 pick, in 2030, and that's only if it falls 20-30. How is the future mortgaged?

Its not just that one pick. He could have gained picks and youth.

I'll take MDJ but with the Warriors current situation, it probably doesn't make much difference. Charm and connections aren't going to allow you to trade $30M more on a contract. Any Warriors GM is going to be hamstrung until the current era is over.

I think they both did well given what they were working with. Myers did a pretty good job filling holes with limited resources along the way and Dunleavy had a reasonably good offseason last year, IMO. The drafting has left something to be desired but we've had late round picks and G League types contribute quite a bit over the years.

Bob was doing so well until the Wiseman debacle unfolded. It was such a big flop, it undid a lot of the shine of what he did for us as a group.

Mike has been good, but he's inherited an expensive geriatric ward at the extreme back end of a dynasty run. It's a very difficult spot to be in.

Pretty much irrelevant. Both were and are heavily under Lacob and Sons GMing thumb.

I'm not a fan of the direction of the team but MDJ has made some OK moves.

Oh hell no. Myers would've already given Kuminga a $150 mil contract.

Blowing the draft?! Warriors had the 41st pick :o

You can't blow the draft with the 41st pick.
