Nah, they're fine. They have a really good young core in Maxey-McCain-VJ.

I envy them as a Raptors fan. If I'm Morey, I'd try to move Embiid for whatever I can get right now. He'd still probably fetch 2-3x FRPs.

Tyrese Maxey / Jared McCain / Kyle Lowry
VJ Edgecombe / Ricky Council IV / Eric Gordon
Quentin Grimes / Justin Edwards
Kelly Oubre Jr. / Trendon Watford / Johni Broome
Adem Bona / Andre Drummond

that team won't be near .500

I wonder if this is a new thing or something he knew he needed. Feels kinda late if he knew about it.
Apparently he suffered it recently, working out.

On the bright side, Edgecombe looks like his potential is through the roof.

At this point, you need to bubble wrap Embiid and George every time they step out of the house. Make sure they stay far away from those “Caution Wet Floor” signs

You really haven't heard the term "Non-Contact" injury?
A non-contact injury is an injury sustained during sports or physical activity that does not involve contact with another person or object. Instead, the injury results from the athlete's own movements and body mechanics. These injuries are common in sports, especially those involving running, jumping, and sudden changes in direction.

The worst signing ever and the worst trade ever - 2 unrelated transactions conducted 5 years apart from each other - were for the same player.

That's trivia gold. Congrats, PG.

Chandler Parsons at 96/4 in 2016 by Memphis probably takes the cake. He was supposed to be the signing that extending the timeline of the "Grit and Grind" Grizzlies (despite coming off of knee surgery), but proceeded to put up 6.2/2.5/1.6/0.6/0.1 on absolutely horrendous shooting splits of 33.8/26.9/81.4 during the thirty-six games he played. That contract effectively prematurely killed the Grit and Grind Grizzlies squad, all for a player coming off of knee surgery who averaged 13.6 points per game the prior season and had a reputation as a subpar defensive player.

Grant hill was another becuase of injuries

Made-of-glass Ingram was just traded for a FRP. 37 year-old KD was just traded for a top-10 pick. You're crazy is you don't think Embiid would get 2-3 FRPs. He's still elite when he plays.

They’re quietly super lucky they were basically gifted Edgecombe who probably has the highest potential out of anyone in this draft sans Flaggs unknown trajectory.

I think Sixers will be fine with a rebuild around Maxey and VJ....it just needs to start as soon as possible.

It’s a core that overlaps. If VJ turns out to be a player they will have to move one of them. Maxey is my guess. I can see them shipping him out like the kings did Fox.

Who's the team that should trade for Embiid and give up 2-3 first rounders? Should Toronto do this?

A contending team that needs a C.

Okay, which specific team should do this please? Please keep in mind, Embiid is still not cleared to even do basketball work at the moment.

Celtics when Tatum comes back. Pacers when Hali comes back. Are the Lakers allowed to trade 2 picks yet? Miami if they want to keep treadmilling. Warriors if they want to make one last push.

2-3x picks isn't a steep price. Hell, even if they can't get 2 picks for him, I'd still flip him for one (but I think that's extremely unlikely). The only way Embiid is worthless is if he literally can't play basketball anymore. And I don't think he's there yet.

Did someone curse this franchise? I swear they have been hit with having talented injury prone players for the past 10 years. To obtain 2 1st overall picks in 2016 and 17 with embidd and having nothing to show for it must be annoying.
