Knicks need to consider that Kolek and Dadiet wasting rosters spots and precious cap $ too

if they really are interested in Smart, Kolek becomes expendable

I'm a fan of Dadiet. I think he's one of those guys tho, as Fran Fraschilla used to say was "a year away from being a year away"

Kolek's ceiling is Ron Baker

I love the Ben Simmons idea. You wouldn't need him to be a shooter or a scorer. You n33d his length, ballhandling and distribution and defense ro ideally complement Brunson

Damn, thats cold.

His onky chance is to start shooting. Hes never gonna be able to defend anyone and I dont wanna discount his passing. This environment isnt really great for a passing exclusively PG. Nobody can shoot and none of them have the IQ to know where to roam. Kolek onky looks good when hes playing with top level targets. But if he wants to remain playing with higher level targets coach gotta know he can score.

would be solid move, he's a good depth piece and he plays hard. would have preferred Caleb Houstan (better shooter)

Shamet needs to regain his shot from the first few years in the league when he was hitting over 40% w/ volume (in 2018/19 he was 45%, making 2.7 3's per game)

if they could move some $ around (coughKolekcough) and sign Smart if he gets bought out, I'd feel really good about next season and our depth

Thats the move I prefer. Can play the point better than anyone on the team aside from Brunson too.

He might be broken mentally and physically, but he is intriguing, though. Low cost/high reward.

Broken Physically? What's his health concern? I stopped paying attention to him years ago.

Bring in both Shamet and Simmons... even if we have to trade one of the kids to free up cap room...

I recall that but, wasn't that years ago? If he's an injury waiting to happen that's a problem. He's already a mental case and he sucks at everything on offense outside of passing.

Clarkson was a waste of time IMO but, I'll root for him to prove me wrong. Should have signed Shamet instead and looked for an actual PG.

He got off to a slow start but he actually finished the year right around 40% from 3 on good volume for the minutes he was playing. I never understood the amount of hate he got from some people on this board as vet min signing.
