Philly Trades: Jared McCain and Paul George

Utah Trades: Lauri Markkanen and Nurkic

Utah: They aren't in winning mode yet, but getting a potential young star guard in McCain who is close friends with Filipowski for Lauri is a good deal considering Utah has Kyle and Ace as their forwards. PG can still play and has one year less on his contract than Lauri. PG can also help Ace acclimate as they have similar games. I know PG is hurt, but should be fine by the start of the season. If PG gets a lot of good playing time and usage, he can be flipped before the deadline for a good haul.

Philly: Giving up McCain is tough, but it balances the roster. Nurkic is a nice back-up big to eat minutes when Embiid sits or just to allow Embiid to play less during the game. Lauri is a great shooting PF (when he plays) who can fit in next to Maxey and Edgecomb. Lauri gets paid a lot but so does George.

No interest in moving McCain for Lauri, even if the this is considered a value win. I think there's a reasonable chance he ends up being better than Maxey.

Not enough for Utah...... McCain is coming off a knee injury, what's his status? Same thing w/ George? What is Utah getting to take on his contract?

Don’t think either team considers it. Nor should they. The Jazz would rather try to rehab Lauri’s trade value and the Sixers aren’t looking to make a win now move.

Taking on PG’s contract is going to cost Philly. He didn’t look good even before his injury. Unless he has an incredible bounce back year no team is going to take him without draft compensation.

Have no interest in trading Jared McCain for Lauri Lauri Markkanen. Jared McCain will likely be better than what Lauri ever was within a few years, and I not at all high on Lauri right now with how he looked this past season.

He's been a full-go for months.
