GT: Summer League Game # 3 - TOR vs DEN - Tonight 8pm TSN

Martin’s ball skills have been disappointing. And undersized 2 with no ball creation or 3 point shot has no place in the league.

Are his handles really that bad? My initial impression is that he lacks any sort of east-west game, but I'm not sure I've seen enough.

I thought he would be more explosive with the ball but he doesn’t seem to have the ability to make anything happen with it. Again if you’re undersized with no pg skills you should at least be able to get to the rim or something but he looks to be easily stifled

He seems more like a vertical athlete than a guy who’s quick on the floor.

Walter made some shots. Lawson still our most consistent offensive player. Shead looking ass tonight. Again this is the problem with this defense first ****. Everyone’s talking about how awesome our defense is and we’re still losing. If we’re not forcing turnovers we have no offense.

also to note, they lost their first 2 games, theyre fighting for their lives to not get embarassed

this game is a good reminder of how an unsustainable defence through pure energy can flame out easily and how it can problematic when your offence and shooting is not up to par

Denver is matching the defensive intensity that the Raptors have been bringing...plus refs are letting them be very aggressive

Not sure how you got that from my post. My implication is that Walter looks effective tonight because he’s making 3s at a high level. If those are all bricks he’s looked pretty limited otherwise offensively. You look at Lawson for example and he has the explosiveness to get to the rim. Jakobe looks rough trying to create his own offense.
