Agreed. He looked completely lost last year most of the time. His situational awareness looks so much better. I’m excited to see how he plays when he gets minutes with the big club this year.

Post game thoughts are he made his shots which is good to see… he still is limited creating offense off the dribble. his defense was good though…

Again if we are trading RJ, it's for an upgrade at the 2-3, neither Walter or Dick or Ochai will be starting barring injury over the duration of their rookie deals.

Edit, nor is it a bad thing either, just means we have a lot of options in cut. It's good to have a lot of prospects, not everyone has to be a starter

Keep going for wins.

We did a lot of losing this year, even on purpose. Let them feel that pressure to win. Especially guys like Mogbo and Chomche

You think they are trading for a SG when they have 3 potential great players at that position?

It'll be for PG, Center, or picks.

He's a good defender, cutter and shooter with decent athleticism. Looks like he can be a valuable 3+D guard with a little more in the near future...has real starter potential.

RJ will be a casualty regardless unless he comes in looking great. Too many people are being paid and he's the easiest to replace, especially since Ingram will be taking a lot of his on ball duties

MAN! That second half was impressive. My four take aways;

1. I continue to be impressed with Chomche.... The game is starting to slow down for him, and he's surely taking advantage of the opportunity. He had the highest plus-minus in this game with +15 within 18 minutes, and has thoroughly outplayed Castleton.

2. AJ Lawson didn't force the issue tonight and still ended up with 19 pts. I wouldn't be mad to see him get some time with the big club. His shooting is real, his ability to defend 1-3 is impressive, and I'm enjoying his moments of leadership.

3. Jamal Shead was a steadying force tonight. The refs weren't allowing the Raptors to be aggressive in the first half, but it didn't rattle Shead. He continued to play his game, and when the team needed him the most, he made plays.

4. And, FINALLLLLLLLLLLY - JA'KOBE WALTER! This guy was balling tonight!!!! 26 pts and 7 steals...Elite two way effort tonight. There was a long sequence in the 4th where he was scoring, stealing the ball, scoring, making good plays on both ends... He needed this game!

Honourable Mention. CMB wasn't as aggressive as I wanted him to be. He really took his time to allow the game to come to him, and I think his passiveness wasn't a positive to the team. This is his second game, and I understand that he could still be ramping things up, but I'm hoping he can play more of his game against Golden State. Still ended up with 10 pts, 3 rebs, 3 assists, 1 blk, and a three pointer made.

Completely agree. Have no idea why we are paying him as a player. One of the wings need to go. If it’s hard to trade RJ, then maybe trade Ochai for a pick or something.

"Prospect".

There is very solid chance that he ends up being a better NBA player than Gradey. I mean......he is already a more impactful player.

Ja'Kobe did so much good tonight but the thing that I came back again to write about is how quick he got up after getting elbowed in the face and leaned into the man who did it. He didn't do anything to get a foul himself but stood his ground in the most aggressive way possible. After that he let his game do the taking and made sure everyone knew who the best player in the game was . . .

Summer League Star in the making!
