MLB should easily have the best All Star Game, yet they continue to eff it up. This is moronic.

Some of those balls were not hit well and we got "to the wall" calls from Joe Davis lmao

That was really fun

If Schwarber gets MVP, just get rid of the game and have 2 nights of HR Derby.

Swing off was fine.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Who gives a **** if it’s a tie? It's an exhibition game first of all. Verducci being an **** and needing to talk to every player before their swing and Davis trying to generate excitement on balls that aren’t even close to the wall. Horrible all the way around.

What's your proposed change?

I think it's a reasonable tradeoff with teams being pretty protective of pitchers to have them only pitch an inning or so. And the guys that go there, they want to pitch them for the fans.

So are you saying they should allow players to return to the game and play extra innings so that they have pitchers? Short of forcing them to play an actual game as if it's a playoff game, which most players/teams would decline, I don't know how you play things out better than that.

Both teams were out of pitchers.

I enjoyed the ASG but fast-forwarded through some of it. Thought the tie breaker was a fun way to end it. Glad to see Mis pitch well. All in all, nice little break, now let's get back to winning.

Managers plan on 9 innings so all pitchers can get in. You can't have pitchers re-enter the game. I guess you could have each team keep one pitcher available in case it goes extra innings, use the ghost runner and then do the swing off if it's still tied. But for a meaningless exhibition game it was fine as it.

I was fine with the ending, I just didn't understand how it was happening at first. Agree totally with MD's point that they plan for a 9 inning game to get as many guys in as possible, so unless you get weird with the rules this seems like a nice way to end it.

I wouldn't want it for any real games, but I'm fine with this for the ASG

You allow any player that was subbed out to go back in. Both teams had at least 4 pitchers that threw 10 pitches or less. NL had 3 guys that had thrown 6 or fewer.

There's no way they're gonna have those guys warm up, pitch, cool down, and then get loose to pitch again for an exhibition game.
