Penda clearly looks like a better asset than Howard. Is Richardson a better asset than Black? We will see soon!

All I know is a future bench of AB Jase TDS Noah Moe - looks so balanced to me. Very similar to what we were trying to do with Cole and JI in those spots. I think Jase will be slightly better than Cole in a year or 2. Noah verdict is still out but I like what I see so far.

AB might be hated by most online magic fans but I know the FO thinks he's a stud.

I still think the Magic could use a good back-up SF, i.e. not da Silva, but I am ok with a 9-man rotation. By next year, the Magic will need to lean on Penda, da Silva, and Richardson, as players like Isaac and Black are targets to be shipped off for financial reasons.

I guess I am higher than most on TDS. I think he will be a borderline starting NBA forward in another year. Isaac and Jett deff targets to be shipped off sooner than later. I expect Black in a Magic uniform for a very long time. He is going to be a fan favorite this year.

They'll be playing 10 almost assuredly in the regular season.

Suggs, Bane, Franz, Paolo, Carter starting.

Tyus, Black, TDS, Isaac, Goga (Moe when healthy) off the bench.

Jett and the rookies are looking at scrap minutes IMO. Injury fill ins and such.

The Magic posted a video of Jalen and Jett hanging out in Vegas, I doubt they cut Jett his offseason.

They probably won't pick up his option for 2026-27. They have until October to opt out. He'll be like Hezonja when we opt out of his team option.

Yep shiny new toy syndrome. I imagine this will flip when we see Jase struggle a bit because he is a 19 year old kid playing against professionals
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Seems like the poll is more of the same and calling out again how bad the Jett pick was.

We need to move past it.

Decline Anthony Black’s 4th year
Decline Jett Howard’s 4th year

Neither one of these guys are worth their contracts and can be combined as 15 mil trade expiring contract as part of a bigger deal or to a team looking to clear cap space

I think AB is def worth exercising the option on already. Would rather try to find a cheap Goga replacement after M Wagner is back to make up the savings elsewhere.

The Magic like Black significantly more than you do.

That's about all I can say about it.

They have until October 31st to pick up the team options for the 2026-27 season on Jett and Black's contracts. I imagine we'll go into training camp before they decide. Those games in training camp will decide Jett's future.

think Jett not playing in summer league decided his future.
