yes. i advised TGA to post the original summer league color commentary in the game thread instead of trades and transactions. crean comments on jalen brunson and the knicks offense during the SL game, so it has a place in the game thread at face value. it was always going to be easy to deviate completely from summer league, but why not give folks a chance to see if they can keep the conversation in scope?

we did not. i spoke on it, moderating the conversation.

It was a good showing for our signed youth. Kolek/Huk have shown they can earn minutes if this play is sustainable against NBA talent. They flashed some last year so, maybe we got something here.

I wanna catch the next game and see if Pac/McC show anything.

It's only summer league so it's hard to take much away from it but, seeing good play is at least a positive. Kolek was lighting it up from downtown. Huk was doing Huk things. I'll take it.

Game wasn't shown in Canada, I just watched the 10 minute highlights on YouTube. Kolek shooting great, if he's shooting well it opens up the rest of his playmaker game. Huk had some moments. Looked like Beauchamp had a good game, or was it just in spurts?

Beauchamp was horrible in the first half. Had a good 2nd half. Kolek could have easily had a half dozen more assists but, bricks were flying everywhere.

I was expecting a horror show after reading the first two game threads. This one had some positive moments for sure. Kolek/Huk/Beauchamp(2nd half). Diawara showing a few things but, still needs work on both ends. I didn't see anyone else worth mentioning honestly. Nnaji looks raw too.

It was kinda reminiscent of last season. BKN was throwing everything at Kolek and he was still getting his. He was passing a lot but, no one was doing much except for him in the first half. He looked like Brunson out there honestly. Summer League level at least. He carried us until others started getting it together.

Kolek needs to do more of that, he's too willing to be a passer at times which is nice, but aggressively looking to score is the only way to survive in the NBA at his size. You cannot be the passive passer.

When all the guys scored like 15 plus and Brunson didn’t dominate, the team looks so much better. His numbers can go down but his impact will raise. He’s the captain I expect him to raise his game to another level.

Back to SL, I like Diawara needs more touches to create from what I’m seeing.

The intensity Mo plays with compared to the lack of it from Paco is noticeable, I suspect Mo will be getting mins this season before Paco does. Mo is aggressive and Paco is passive, it's a trait that is an NBA filter.

Knicks have Yabuty as a 4/5 but after him there isn't a 3/4 with the size and length that Mo has so it wouldn't surprise me if he finds his way onto the floor sooner than later if Brown expands the rotation like people think he will.
