Hot damn wow

Of course that certainly has NOTHING to with how many minutes he played this season, going 82 games straight......Mikal has no right to be tired or complain.

Add this to the mix…

But na, Mikal is just soft, and he sucks lol. Honestly dunno how people ignore all these things and expect him to still be KD out there every night while being the 3rd/4th option. It’s kinda fascinating really… watching the lengths people go to ignore reality to push an agenda… not to mention seeing how much hate fans have for players on this team. It’s interesting, but disturbing lol.

Just don't reference any other topics, even obliquely.

Was Thibs really fired? I mean, he was put on paid vacation, right? $30M to travel the world and enjoy the good life or get a hair transplant. Any chance they'll bring him back to coach again if they do poorly in their first 10 games? It all depends on what the definition of "Fired" is.

Mikal is a real one. Left Tom with no doubts why he got canned.

The real reason why is because he wouldn’t include Leon in the rotation decision making.

I don't know. Thibs did so many things that I couldn't understand throughout the season. Seeing as he gave so minutes to the starters just for them to become one of our worst lineup combinations something went wrong imo. Whatever they were working on wasn't working.

The team had two new starters to the rotation (40%) and no rim protection. We were inconsistent on both ends of the court. Maybe that’s why Thibs wanted them to get more minutes together?

But shouldn't they have performed better together over time if that was his plan?

The lineup he played most had a net rating +6.6 before January 1st. They had a net rating of -1.4 from January 1st to the end of the season but different starters missed time in that period which may have interrupted Thibs' plan.

At full strength in the postseason they had a net rating of -0.9 against the Pistons in the first round. They had a net rating of -9.5 against the Celtics in the second round and a net rating of -12.5 against the Pacers in the conference finals.

Better? We went to the ECF for the first time in 25 years in year-1 with this group.

Even LeBron-Wade-Bosh didn’t win a ring in Year-1 of their squad.

We were discussing the high minutes given to the starters. How can you look at the numbers posted and not think things could have possibly been done better or differently? I agree that the team didn't have the most talented bench but they weren't the ones consistently losing their minutes on the court. They lost game 1 of the ECF by going back to the starters that were already -10 on the court together before that late game collapse.

So , yes I would want to do better than having a -12.5 net rating for my most used lineup in the ECF especially when I watched them struggle for months prior to that. I'm not judging the team solely on how far they made it in the postseason and it clearly wasn't because of some amazing strategy where you play a negative lineup together as much as possible.

Thibs couldn't figure it out for months. Hart killed the spacing and teams used that against us. Teams were pressuring Jalen 94 feet and Thibs never tried to change that pace. He didn't even direct players to set screens for him! Just leave him on an island. Teams were throwing depth at us and winning the war of attrition. BAD teams were doing this to us and openly saying as much. He did nothing.

The only time things changed under Thibs was when he was forced to do it through injuries or foul trouble. Then he always goes right back to his old ways ASAP. The numbers all support the fact that Thibs did not recognize what was working vs what he wanted to do. He is once again unemployed. The end.

Well technically, what Mikal did is the hardest in history on like 4 different counts lol… games played, miles run, minutes played, and screens hit by. Nobody in the league can or wants to do that..

See he was nice during the playoffs. I can admit that buuuuuuut he has a few things going against him. The first being there are too many nerds around here that support him and I cant be associated with said group. Ive got a rep to maintain. And to no fault of his own, but thats not going to stop me from blaming him, he cost too damn much while also fcking up are flexibility. Also his form is ugly af and he is afraid of contact. A real unappealing game. I mean did you enjoy watching him miss pull up transition 3s. Terrible. Or him having a layup and channeling his inner Ben Simmons to take a fade instead. Disgraceful.

Also he got thibs fired. (I dont actually care about this but im toeing the company line so I dont get blue text on my post) see if I can change we all can change :D

If this year's Knicks make the NBA finals and have a higher win total with virtually the same team, I'll be on the bandwagon, but does anybody actually see this happening?
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:

Return to New York Knicks
