So are we cutting our rookie? Where does Kasper fall on your roster?

Forgot to add him. Just edited. Nice to see how we have a 26.6 million dollar paper weight in Rozier currently at the back end of the depth chart

Jaquez is not getting minutes in front of Highsmith, and Larsson probably isn't either. I wouldn't even be surprised if Highsmith starts for some stretches of the year either due to injury or because Spo starts yanking Ware's leash.

If Miami wants to win a ring before Pat Riley is too old to function anymore they better be all in on trading for LeBron

We are 100% coming out of the East and getting the NBA rigging games for us if we make the move. No way the league punts on that story line. They will get us to game 6 in the finals it’s on us from there

Miami is going to add Lillard, Westbrook, LeBron, and Beal for the minimum next year.

Im okay with this…

This “core” needs to see it’s end. 60 million in expirings currently, potentially 90 million when we trade Wiggins by the deadline.

Lebron would have likely extended this mediocre core we got, carrying them to a second round playoff run.

Without him we get to truly expose this roster. Either they finally breakthrough or we move on and blow it up. We can have 90 million off the books, potentially even more by moving on from Herro, and start over with Bam.

Yeah Lebron thing is a fantasy. The problem here is if the team is exposed then that means so is Wiggins. That means no one will trade for him, no one will trade an expiring for him, maybe a player with even a long salary but not an expiring. So an exposed team with only 60 mil to play should just rebuild from scratch. Bam has the most value and we did draft a center so something has to give unfortunately.

Pretty much my thought but was not my intention to leave him off the original depth chart lol. Looking at the SF spot and the the lack of front court depth you would think we would be looking to bolster the backup Center spot by cashing in one of the SF's. We could also use another vet back up shooter. I like the idea of bringing Alec Burks back as someone to have in a break in case scenario behind Larrson. Would be nice if you could attach Jaime or Haywood with Rozier in a trade that consolidates the SF spot and adds a useful rotation player.

If that’s the case we should be shopping Jaime as a sweetener with Rozier.

the Lebron dream is dope i would prefer to keep Wiggins. The lower expectations of our roster will keep tempers under control and if we over achieve it'll be well deserved. Bron went to an organization he cant bully and its kind of entertaining

It'll be interesting to see what happens because Highsmith will be a FA after this season and seems to have value around the league. I don't think he gets MLE money, but I'd guess he gets offers in the $8-$10M/year range. Not sure if Miami wants to give him that kind of money. It reminds me a bit of the Bruce Bowen situation many moons ago.

As for Jaquez, his value is probably on the lower end given he saw limited minutes last year and he is "old" relative to younger prospects. He's still going to be on a rookie deal for a couple more years and would allow Miami to maintain solid depth without having to commit tons of money. Not sure Miami is ready to move off of him this year, especially if Miami continues to pursue a Wiggins trade and plans to let Highsmith walk.

Dang, wonder if we reached out and he just preferred the Clips over us. Nice get on that contract, which I guess is basically the minimum right?
