Dude you also said the last 3 - 4 weeks something was going to happen. This guy is not good at his job and anyone could of predicted this.

Dude I have read here 2726362 times that we will have Beal on the roster next year because he had a NTC and he will not give up one dollar of his contract.

So yeah, he was right on something that too many people said it was impossible to archive for the Suns.

BTW, these are great news IMO. We will have great flexibility now.

I personally never thought he would be traded
I thought a buyout was an option if Beal could have been made whole , or close to it, in free agency
What I always thought was a reach was thinking Beal would take a $30m pay cut. I never thought his market in free agency was $25/30 for two years, all guaranteed. I thought at best it was $8-10m with a club option in year 2

But Ishbia had no other choice but to give him every dollar possible -- and Beal could be made close to whole with the Clippers unless he opts out next summer. When he might be made whole.

Gambo:
For the many that are asking - no the Suns do not have interest in Ben Simmons.

On another tweet he said that we aren't interested in Westbrook.

I thought the Beal trade was a good move when it happened. Turned out to be one of the biggest disasters of the Booker era. Essentially killed our ability to contend with KD, and will cripple our ability to contend for the next 5 years. Good grief.

Remember that one game where he was smiling after Curry hit a three on him in the corner?

And in the elimination game against the Wolves, in the 4th quarter, he made a sloppy outlet pass that resulted in a turnover, he got an offensive foul away from the ball (turnover), he got another turnover throwing the ball to KD after bringing the ball up (turnover)... actually here is the game, more fun to relive this memory!

No Simmons or Westbrook
Paul is not an option

Maybe it will be Melton

Who knows - maybe they have a trade with multiple players going out now -- Allen, O'Neale and Richards are 27m

Okay Mat - show us what you got? Make a trade with multiple players. He is ready to trade that 2032 draft pick I think!

Luckily for Ishbia, he's not allowed to trade the '32 1st.

Flexibility is good, but I don't see anything earth-shattering being opened up. They can combine contracts, but what are you getting with like Allen + O'Neale + 2nds? Not a lot, I would say.

This move also really doesn't make sense unless they stay out of the tax for the next two seasons to reset the repeater**, so I don't think adding a bunch of salary (though it is now technically an option) is something that is really going to be in the cards.

**Though I suppose if they do get back up into it, I better not see some chicken sh** cost-cutting moves in like 2029/2030 when they're (hopefully) winning games again.

Good to know about the 2032

The smart thing to do , like you said would be to stay under the first apron level - don't do something stupid to take you back over those for no really good reason. Don't use the TPMLE just to use it - especially now.

I agree about Allen and O'Neale - maybe wait until the spring and some team will use their TPE for one of them. I did think of the Bulls taking on Allen and O'Neale for Williams and Jevon Carter. That gets the Bulls out from under that contract a year early - PWill. But the suns are stuck with an extra year for not much extra cap space

Goodbye, incredibly obvious mistake that will haunt us for the foreseeable future. Trading for an oft-injured, overpaid player with a no trade clause that plays the same position as your franchise player. Another ball dominant player to pair with Booker and KD. Brilliant decision making.

It had to be done, but where is the reason for optimism with this team? Booker and Green backcourt won't be able to guard anyone. Dillon Brooks is Dillon Brooks. We'll be lucky to get 40 games out of Mark Williams. Our only hope for improvement is Dunn, Maluach, and Fleming? Bleak. Tanking doesn't make sense since we don't own our picks, but wasting Booker's career/value on 30-win treadmills is a shame too.

Half the fun of being a fan is being mad at your team when they suck. Most of us couldn't root for another NBA team if we tried!

Like the people that say, "If you don't like it here, leave." As if criticism is not allowed and any criticism means you must abandon things entirely.

Perfectly reasonable to point out us Suns fans have little to no reason to be optimistic about the future of the team.

So we're a trade deadline team. Play Green/Grayson/Royce and hopefully get some assets in return come February.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
