I wonder if Jon Horst even believes the words coming out of his mouth? What a bull ****.

GM painting a rosy picture of the offseason and upcoming season. Would you expect something else from him (or any other GM in any other sport)?

I can't believe I made it through the whole vid yesterday. But it was so damn crazy I couldn't close it.

long story, they tracked down random twitter guy who had a post about this months prior to it coming out. Dug deeper, found that guy connected to a deli owner in NYC, that deli owner was involved in the Porter gambling scandal and is in the investigation. The initial random tweet was about the same time as the Porter news broke. So he's seemingly in the know and Beas was in on it somehow

A weird thing is the one game that's been mentioned with odd betting was a Beasley under on rebounds. But in that game he tried seemingly extra hard at rebounding and got 6-7 boards, thus the bet lost. They also dug deep on Beas garbage time numbers vs spreads and found he's always a good garbage time stats guy regardless if the spread is close or not.

Also gave backstory on Beas's gun charge in MN. Stemmed from his house mistakenly being put on a parade of homes. Also, in the evidence found that he had firm budget to not spend more than like $2500/wk on weed. Got divorced because he got caught banging Pippens ex wife. And turns out Beasley parents and grandpa have been generally successful actors. So its not like he comes from a super difficult/poor upbringing.

Someone help me contextualize what $2,500 a week of weed gets you. Is that like, non stop smoking 24-7? For multiple people?

I don't really know. But my guess would be that just like most 'luxury' things he's not smoking any more than a normal regular smoker. But since he's rich, his dealer tells him this is the super special best weed in the word thus it costs way more than what the normal guy buys. But in reality its the same thing. Just like how if you put ESL logo on the exact same handbag form target it becomes 5K instead $100. Or how he owes a barber 25K or whatever. Basically just charging a rich person more because they can afford it. Or at least should be able to.

In the cursed realm of Bucks draft picks, Livingston got better and that's not insignificant. Good on him getting a contract.

In the name of Kenny Fields, please draft better Horts.

Horst has been doing that for years. Think the relationship started with Bledsoe.

But it's been a while since we've had a payoff.

Every time I think of Chris Livingston, I think of Bobby Simmons.

Do with that what you will.

So the notion was kinda bullocks, they weren't, in part, basing their decision on summer league, for players who've been here for 2 yrs out of college.

And now that goes back to, how have they viewed what they've seen from Ajax? I'm thinking it will lead to them not picking up the option.

Does anyone know if waiving & re-signing Livingston effects his bird rights? On the off chance he takes a big step next year will we be able to easily retain him?

Roster is getting crowded with tweener forwards if the Bucks want Livingston and / or Tyler Smith to have a real opportunity for minutes beyond the G-league (which they very well might not care about).

This signing certainly could just mean Ajax is getting cut. Or Thanasis isn't making the team. Or both.

Or a Kuzma trade is happening.

I mean I’m totally good with Livingston having one of the last couple roster spots. Guessing Dre gets cut.

What's wrong with most of it? It was a really good offseason. And he especially should think that, cuz he's the 1 who engineered it.

The dominate Clipper Simmons with the arm band or the Bucks Simmons that hoodwinked Herb Kohl? :reporter:

Ajax getting cut wouldn't lead to any of his salary coming off the books. He'd just open up a roster spot & obviously not be part of the team next yr, which was what the TO deadline entailed.

If they can't trade him into space, it might behoove them just to ride it out, unless it's important to have that spot for Thanos or a much better SF available on the market. Otherwise they'd have a couple million more dead cap & cut into the amount extra $ they could take at the trade deadline.

Even if it's the "best" weed, $2500 a week is like a pound of weed a week. At least based on my old days prices where someone I know would get a quarter pound for around $900, but buying in bulk gets you a better price. So I'd say $2500 would probably net around a pound. Which is impossible to smoke on your own. My guess is he would give it to all his homies for free and also smoke a bunch himself. Or, he just loved getting ripped off. But even if he only got a quarter pound there's no way you can smoke that much in one week especially with someone who has a busier schedule than a college kid with 2 hours of classes a day.

I mean, has it ever "paid off"?

Lol, wasn't RP telling other teams not to draft Livingston supposed to be the payoff?
