I would need to go back through and see each game again, but I remember him fumbling away a couple of fast breaks, and not shooting when he should have. This is the problem with discussing a box score months after the game. His overall offensive confidence seem to take a hit because of the diminished minutes.

I agree his minutes were cut because guys got healthy and outplayed him. That is my point. When you are too good to bench, you don’t get benched. When you are not, then it happens. He also probably performed poorly in practice to further cement his decline.

He played less than 5 minutes in 3 of the 7 games. And it wasn't because of poor play. Finch was setting his Playoff rotation.

In the 1 game he played more than 9 minutes (the 2nd to last game of the season), he scored 7 points (on 1 FGA!) with 5 rebounds, an assist, 0 turnovers and 0 fouls. He was +8.5 in 17 Minutes.

Yes in 17 minutes shooting 7 of 8 from the line. If I remember correctly that was against the tanking Nets and their mostly G league bench.

Dying on the hill of Jaylen Clark not being good at the end of last year is certainly one way to go. Clark having his playing time reduced has an obvious explanation. Same for Shannon who played a total of 15 minutes in the last 10 games of the year including 3 min total in the same stretch of April games being discussed.

Other than 3 games vs. OKC in which the Wolves situationally really needed offense, Finch trusted Clark more last year. Clark played more total minutes (522 vs 339) and in more situations.

Dying on the hill is a bit dramatic, I said his play (mostly his offense,) declined as his minutes were cut and his role reduced. The half rotation messed with everyone. I also pointed out that Clark was not so good as to force himself into the playoff rotation, nor so good in the playoffs to force himself into more opportunities. Again, I don’t like Finch as a coach, and you can certainly blame him for it. But objectively speaking, it is a fact that Clark did not force his way into the rotation once people got healthy. Funny enough you guys are literally saying the same thing.

We're really not. It was clear from April 1st that Clark and TSJ were not going to be in the rotation. And it wasn't merit based.

Clark had a very strong finish to March and then basically only played garbage minutes in April. It was clear to the rest of us that Finch was going with an 8 man rotation in the Playoffs.

Hopefully he learned a lesson from that, because he's been stressing going 9 or 10 deep this year.

I like winning. So I want us to play two extra games and win the SL title. There are 82 games and however many practices where players can get injured also. Plus preseason games, falling in the shower, getting injured in an auto accident. I'm not going to be worried about injuries in an extra SL game. There's one additional SL game for the teams that don't make the playoff anyway.

You forgot finger pushups.

Actually I thought about those, but decided not to. Was it Jaden McDaniels who punched a wall?

Yes it was. He broke his hand and missed the 22/23 playoffs. Rudy was the one who punched Kyle.

KGdaBom is the only who will be devastated by this. Our undefeated streak is at SERIOUS risk, and our margin of victory is gonna be tighter if we somehow win.

I'm far from devastated by it, but I wish he was playing. It's a back to back for every player on our SL team so I guess they should all sit this one out and we find all new players who didn't play yesterday.

Well, they dont have a reliable scoring option, unless Rob scores 40pts which is a LOT for SL.

P.S. TJ was limping in the last game...

I didn't notice.

Tyrese Proctor with 30 and counting in the 4th quarter for the Cavs. Nique Clifford looking great with 19 for the Kings. 4 minutes to go. Kings going to win. We will need to not only win without TSJ, but win big.

Watching this game, I miss TSJ. And Rocco really struggles to move his feet.

We're getting annihilated early today. 29-14. Looks like no SL championship playoffs for us. We're shooting 31% to their 65%.

Apples and oranges.

TJ has nothing left to prove in meaningless games. The rest of the squad does.

One thing to be happy about is Le Berricade definitely outplaying Maluach in the first quarter.

If this game is meaningless than every SL game ever played is meaningless and it's more or less true.
