Across the board it was a horrible coaching season for Spo. The play calls were bad and the players didn't know how to run the plays. There was a lot of confusion when players were on the court on what each person role was. Mixed with young and dumb players (Rozier) along with a lot of additions Spo tried to make the offense simple by the time the playoffs came. The offense was so simple it was easy for the Cavs to game plan for.

Hopefully this upcoming season Spo has right system to run that matches the talent and time time to coach the players up to run the system properly. And that maybe make a highly productive Wiggins

I think Norman Powell could be a great influence on him.

He and Herro are in the same tier and 20 million per seems more than reasonable for both.

He would unlock so much for this team. I'd rather throw 30 at him than kuminga.

Giddey isn't elite at anything for now. He's a good all-around player. He's like a more aggressive Joe Ingles. Even > $20M for Giddey seems like a bit of an overpay and only possible because he is 22 and GMs can talk themselves into the idea he'll get better over the life of his contract. I think Chicago's offer is more than fair. It's basically 4-years, $100M or 5-years $130M. That's in line with what Jaden McDaniels, Aaron Gordan, Mikal Bridges, DeMar DeRozan, Tobias Harris, RJ Barrett, and Andrew Wiggins make and more than Josh Hart makes.

Herro is worth more than most in that group, although he is comparable to DeRozan, Barrett, and Wiggins. But they're in the $25-$30M/season range. I'd have no issue with Miami extending Herro starting at $30M/year (4-years, $135M and would be ~18% of the cap to start), but I'd be reticent go over $35M to start (4-years, $160M and would be just over 20% of the cap) unless Herro can get his scoring 25< and he can get at least 5 FTA/g.

This is an absolute slap in Giddey's face after the year and close out he just had with the Bulls. He needs to start shopping for S&T possibilities or sign his QO and force a trade.

That Luka extension is gonna hit like an RPG to the chest

This is the whale of whales. Moby-Dick or shall we call it........Luka-Dick. (Pause)

Looking very slim too, Nico woke up a monster lol. I will say it’s kind of odd after going to the finals that he came in last season as out of shape as he did. He had a ton of nagging injuries so maybe he just rested and tried to heal last summer and didn’t watch what he ate, idk. Think he had a baby also so maybe that took him out of his normal routine too

Slim Luka or Fat Luka sign me up either way.

Are we signing beal Westbrook or bol bol. Seems like after today's game some moves need to be made
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

I wouldn't mind Westbrook considering he had great chemistry playing off of Powell with the Clippers. Those two had some big games together.

No 3ammy didn't hack my account, but Luka would be the perfect guy to pair with Bam and is the one guy more than anyone else where I could say Bam can be the #2 and that team is a championship contender. Its a total dream scenario right now but damn what a perfect fit those two would be, each covers the others weaknesses and offensively there's no better lob thrower than Luka imo.

I do think if you unlock that duo though, you maybe try to flip Tyler for someone more defense oriented. Honestly it doesn't matter at that point though, get Luka and figure out the rest later.

Shocked to see that Malcolm Brogden is still out there. Get him in here in a low usage starters role with Mitchell behind him. Assuming our hands our tied right now until we can try to resolve the Rozier situation.

Luka and Bam are the guys you lock 2 maxes towards… you dont extend Herro for 50M and i think Powell is likely insurance for a pipe dream Luka/Giannis whale move to replace Herro bc he will likely be looking no more than 30M depending on how he plays this szn. i could see his market being 25M esp if he is more of a 6th man

Wow. What did 3ballbomber do to get banned, if anything?

He was a staple around here for a long time and a huge Heat fan.

Like I said many pages ago… something in the air has 2009 into 2010 vibes. The Heat FO is locked in on something. I have not seen this FO so adamant to clear the books for cap space like this.

Luka and Bam are an amazing pairing and like you said Timmy, a pair made in heaven!

Also, could you imagine Kaspar learning under a motivated Luka…

How about a Luka in Heat shape!?!

All about this sounds like a match made in heaven, but given it has been 15 years since we last had something like this happen, I already fir disappointment as well.

i firmly believe that spo is in to some drugs

getting blown out by the cavs by 40 twice and saying that the heat were getting it together in the last 10 games of the season is pure revisionism and comedy

With or without the Luka angle, I would love to see this. I am still haunted by his tears on the bench on the bubble run…
